I got into BS through the show, so I went back to read some of it in the books, thinking I'd like it too. Not so much. I wasn't a fan of either of their characters, So one dimensional I thought.

Really? I loved them in the books. Especially the part in the books when Serena brushes her hair in the bathroom. Gah. When they finally become friends again.

agreed!!

i like shades of tv serena and book serena... tv serena is kinder and book serena is more wild and fun.

i like tv blair a little better because book blair was mean to serena a lot more.

I'm not completely done the books, but I've been hooked on it way before they even decided to make a show. So good.

Book!Blair is mean. I hated her.

Yep, agreed. I don't hate her, but she is so far from being one of my favorites that I can't even put it into words LOL.

And omg, do I ship Dan/Vanessa in the books! I love them. They're all angsty and artsy and perfect for each other.

It would be convenient to ship them because NS is my GG otp... but in all honesty, i simply ship them for them.

If they do DV on the show, the only upgrade will be that they are much hotter versions of themselves lol.

DV in the books were perfect. They were, at the beginning, the only couple I truly loved.

Anyways, BS look so exciting. Thats what I look forward to most.
I mean, I'm pretty sure that by the end of the episode DS will have told each other ILY anyways, so, why even make a preview out of it?

ha. I agree, Sarah. I did ship D/V in the books. Because Dan was so different from the TV!Dan that we have. He was just so much more angsty, I guess.
