I think Blake has very strong team of advisers, her family and Leslie Sloane-Zelnick. It's unlikely she'll mis-step if she does move forward.

She has a huge team behind her. Besides Zelnick, there's Bernstein. And she has a team of lawyers and other Guru's from the biz. I think both they, and she know and have probably planned out how everything's going to go for the next while.

She's very lucky and very smart, or family is and/or both.

Yes, but each of those celebs mentioned either have more or equal starpower in comparison to her and they've taken mucho flack. It's a hard biz to crack. If she does put one out, I hope she waits awhile until the trend has cooled somewhat. It's really not that hard for a celebrity to fail -- how many singer/celebrities have we seen flounder?

One thing I've noticed is that W Magazine always puts her in their high society pics section..along with the aristo and UES ladies. I can see her doing something very low key, not with her name on it, but with Rodarte or Chanel, like being a bit of a muse or something. I kind of see her moving along the lines of Gwyneth Paltrow.

Oh, that's very different from creating her own line. I could get down that.

Something's Familiar About Blake Lively's ‘Nylon’ Cover

Good afternoon, Upper East Siders! On the left you see two images of Gossip Girl's Blake Lively. The top photo appeared as a full-page image in the front of Teen Vogue's March issue. The bottom image is the cover of Nylon's May issue. She's rocking a suspiciously similar yellow jacket, black miniskirt, white shirt-and-tie combo in those shots, eh? (We peered over our spectacles as we typed that.) Huh. Now, Lively is the star of Gossip Girl, which is all about prep schoolers, so we could see both magazines' stylists naturally going the whole hip-schoolgirl route. But still, the similarity of the images strikes us as a bit uncanny, especially given the timing of the two issues. The March Teen Vogue hit stands in early February — which, following the logic of monthly magazine-production schedules, may very well have been before Nylon shot its May cover. Perhaps someone at Nylon saw the look in Teen Vogue and the image stuck in her head without her realizing it? Perhaps it really is just a huge coincidence? Or perhaps Blake loved her outfit so much the first time that she demanded to wear it again? Seriously, the yellow jacket is cute.

A sex-soaked promo campaign that ushers in Gossip Girl's return is having its desired effect, raising hackles among talk-show hosts and bloggers. But it's also embarrassing star Blake Lively, whose high school character, Serena, is seen in one ad in an open-mouthed embrace with her classmate Nate (Chace Crawford).

Seeing herself seemingly naked in the campaign is "just really mortifying," Lively says, especially when her mother drove past a billboard and almost hit a car. "But it's very smart advertising" to get the attention of potential viewers, she says. "They're poking fun at how outrageous (the show) is. I just wish my mouth was closed."

The ads, in a nod to the show's text-happy teen and young-adult viewers, use emoticons (:-O), the OMG (Oh My God!) acronym and a racier version with an extra initial.

CW marketing chief Rick Haskins says the campaign achieved its goal by getting attention, even if some magazines, local stations and cable systems refused to run some of the ads. But "it was less about the shock value and more about speaking in the language our target audience understands."

Viewers will also need to catch the five new episodes on CW as they air. In a temporary reversal of a TV trend, the new installments will not be streamed on the network's website, though they'll still be for sale on iTunes.
