Rufus is sleeping on the couch. Cool. Um. Someone explain this to me. Didn’t we come to the conclusion last season that THAT WAS A PICTURE OF MISTY BASS?! Why is her picture STILL THERE? And why do we see it TWICE tonight…here and later with Lily looking at a LR pic? Why are you doing this to me?

*deep breath*

Anyway, WOAH! Carter Baizen and the sexy disheveled look. Hot damn! Looks like they’re staying at the Waldorf’s. It’s confirmed later.

OMG! Serena mentions Nate’s name! (Carter mentioned BC, S mentioned N! MY HEART FLUTTERED!)

DV! Did anyone catch V’s screen name? Dan has to use that because Georgie’s Internet stalking him.

HEY! GUESS WHAT MORON! GEORGINA IS A PSYCHOPATH! You don’t dump psychopath’s and think she won’t STALK YOU. Ugh. Idiot.

And V’s at the café and DUN DUN DUN!

GUYS! I FINALLY GOT A DOUBLE DATE! And I didn’t hate it even though I don’t like the second pair. BUT NATE HAD SCENES WITH Blair (and C…kinda). *SQUEAL*

AND!!! SERIOUSLY! *SQUEAL* NATIE MENTIONS SERENA!

Bree drools over Carter’s name. Chuck gets suspicious.

Chuck follows Bree. Bree warns Chuck.

OMG. STOP THROWING LR IN MY FACE. “You and Rufus are the perfect couple.” What does Serena know about perfect couples anyway? *gag*

Oh, look. Eric’s never without Jenny. He’s in this episode a lot more, but never alone.

Rufus goes to the loft. I was way more excited when this actually happened.

So Dan calls Serena, and S will fix things because that’s what Serena does now, you know.

Georgina’s whining! Danny-boy won’t talk to her!

“You’re a full-on crazy person.” You said it all, Vanessa!

And then Georgina blackmails V. I’m confused. G says wine and a little extra …. Umm..what’s the extra? A drug? Sorry, but that’s where my mind goes when it comes to Georgina.

I love the DV phone call with G prompting V. LMAO!

OH.MY.GOD.

You did NOT just do that.

You put a CE go to lunch on the GG blog. AND THEN YOU DO “FAMILY LUNCH.” I HATE YOU!!!!!!!!! Set up, LR alone. I hate you.

GUYS! Chuck Bass is giving Blair a massage! And he looks SOOOOOOO hot in black, btw!

And they’re always talking about Carter. (I do get a kick…. Leight/Seb..hehe)

But, nope. “So you, not us.” HEHE. AND SHE IS STILL LILY BASS! At least that made me happy. Because she didn’t take Husband #2 or #3’s last names.

“I’m not in love with you, you moron.” That did not crush me, btw. I love that. DV! They’re so adorable. HEHE.

And then Vanessa tells him about the blackmail and Scott and we never get his reaction.

And Constance Trio is there. One girl doesn’t have the money, Jenny tells her to leave. Blair GLOWS. And I think only one of B’s new bitches is there. I like her. She’s pretty. What’s her name? Dorota’s there! Jenny’s making ANOTHER wedding thing. Gag me.

Well, we know Dan’s not made at Vanessa. But he doesn’t want LR to know yet. Gotta get through the wedding first.

Vows! And S calls Lily out on it being like Husband #3’s. But I don’t know if it’s K or C one. So … yeah.

I MISSED IT! What did Georgie do to Poppy. FAIL writers!

Woah, kiss. And G doesn’t like that he doesn’t grab her ass anymore.

SCa on the phone. Chuck’s there at the Waldorf’s where Carter is. We don’t know what he knows yet. *sighs* Chuck gives him another ticket. Wow. 2x19 knock-off. What he did for Blair. Um…no. I wanted something BIG to happen. *sighs*

Georgie brought Scott over! “Does Vanessa want to see me?” “I’ll take you to her now.”

DOROTA IS OUT OF UNIFORM! OMG, is this a first?!??!

NBr… JE…BC (talk about Carter). LJ..Jenny tells Lily how wonderful Rufus’ vows are. *sigh*

And here we go!

Carter explains. Here’s the story. He had a gambling debt. He started going on with Beth. He knew she had money. So he proposed and the wedding was planned and he bailed. Impressive. I like it!

DE are standing together. Wait, they’re all together – Jenny and Serena too. WAIT. Is Chuck there? Wha?

LR talk. She can’t write her vows. She can’t do this.

Awkward wedding moment. WHERE WAS CHUCK?! Am I gonna freak? It moved too fast for me to see.

Then Scott is there. He leaves. Georgina! “Your love child!” and she skips off while everyone’s jaw drops.

((Dude, there was a commercial featuring Gloria Vanderbilt jeans. OMG, crazy! *cough* Yes, I do comment about commercials now, too!))

So Dan confesses about Scott. LR go find him.

Carter goes to S. She wants to be left alone.

“It’s not the same with you.” Yeah yeah. S isn’t hearing it.

Bree/Carter and COUSINS. You’re in trouble mister! But later. Not know. Okay, fine.

BD! Walk pass G. SHE IS A PSYCHOPATH!

B’s on the phone. I know who she called! (it’s the end!)

So, we DID get a Bart Bass mention. From… RUFUS? Great.

They find Scott. They all talk. Lily and Scott hug. Group hug.

Commercial.

And kid you not, I’m hyperventilating throughout the ENTIRE BREAK. Why? Because LSc hugged. And I will NEVER see Chuck with anyone but Serena again.

Loft wedding.

Why is Chuck smirking like that? Gross.

Why wasn’t Vanessa at the wedding? BULL! Rufus is a second father to her and how could she have something else to do? One last VSc scene was too much for you idiots?

Scott leaves. But there’s an “open invitations.” Maybe during the holidays.

SC! “Are you okay?” Because he’s the best brother ever! And he tells Serena that he gave Carter a ticket to leave, but he still came. He doesn’t want his sister sad!

“I talked to Blair.” Dude, we got one BN scene, I won’t bitch about not getting this. “You used me to get to Carter.” Poor Natie. Always used.

“It’s Texas.”

GUYS! CHACE IS TEXAN! I love the irony in it. Remember in 2x02 when Chuck and Marcus talk about “your people.” FUNNY AS HELL. *cough*

So, Bree’s gone. Bye.

But Carter’s in the limo with the Buckleys.

BD are talking about what about G? But B says no worries and goes to kiss Chuck.

OH.MY.GOD! VANYA! GUYS! IT’S VANYA! DOROTA’S BOYFRIEND! He pretends to be a Belarusian Prince and whisks G away. And Dorota smiles as she watches. It’s like the new BC, right? But not plotting together. Just executing it together. (I bet Dorota totally volunteered to B to use Vanya.)

OH.MY.GOD!

Nate is standing alone, sad. Camera pans to Serena, like three feet away. Alone and sad.

SIGN?

If that’s not good enough – PROMO! SN/BC heavy. HOT DAMN!

I loved Serena in this episode - the way she took charge of Lily's wedding was fab. Finally they're letting Serena who can do things alone without looking like she needs to rely on CB shine

Blake was so good in this episode. I love Serena (she's my favourite character) but I think there's more layers to her this season and Blake it doing a great job portraying them.

Squee went my wanderlust heart with that first scene of Carter kissing Serena's neck. Lovely. Then it was great to see Carter and Serena eating breakfast and talking about their night of passion.

Carter is very good for Serena, encouraging her to make her peace with Lily. A lovefest at the Waldorf penthouse. I suppose they don't need to use another set.

I love Blair's total disregard for anything Bree has to say. I love her when she's being so bitchy. I miss Nate's man bangs.

Vanessa actually said something good, "Even though I tried to defend you, you're a full on crazy person".

Loved the fact that Blair was defending Carter to Chuck. "He makes Serena truly happy." Go, Blair, Go.

"Why would I tell that future Nascar Mum anything? I hate her and the tractor she rode in on".

Have I mentioned that I like Chuck's hair cut? He looks cute and then he has a scene with Carter. So good! Ooh another plane ticket, will Carter dump Serena? I think he'll stay because he's in love.

Yes, I'm right! The way they greeted each other and kissed hello was really beautiful.

Ahh, some continuity. In 3.01 Bree mentioned her cousin being dumped at the alter and now we know that Carter was the guy. But, I know you're telling the truth when you say it's only Serena you care about .. so much, Carter. I love this couple.

Ooh, a Chuck and Serena scene. Chuck went looking for Serena and then told her that Carter is not as bad as portrayed. Love this CS too.

Good job, Nate, getting rid of that Bree person. Blair and I are so proud.

That glimpse of Carter between the Buckley cousins in the limo was great. Sebastian is oh so good and oh so good looking too.

Of course there was preparations and a wedding of sorts in this episode but that was a side story really.

And S is getting more layered! This is good for her. (when she's not attached to... Dan.) I love this S!

I love that too actually. I love that she's actually doing something good without needing anyone else or any help from anyone. She's totally in charge and I love that. I love that independence.

I totally agree. You can clearly see that Serena is developing into her own self. I love all the scenes you mentioned. I can't really pick which was my fave of night, tbh.

Here are my random thoughts while I was watching the episode...

~ Adorable opening shot. I'm a Nate/Serena fan but Carter kissing her neck is swoon-worthy.

~ Too bad the follow-up shot is of Nate with Bree. No offense to people who like Bree (if there is any), but she looks like someone from Whoville. Coincidentally (or not), that movie starred 7-year old Taylor Momsen. Maybe she got hired through this connection.

~ Why would Dan have an IM chat with Olivia on the street? Isn't there a coffee shop he could do that in?

~ I thougt it was weird that Carter & Serena had to make their own breakfast but Carter did explain that Dorota offered to make them eggs but he wanted to make her breakfast himself. In that case, how sweet!

~ Why doesn't Carter just get a job? His woman has. If Serena, the ultimate Upper East Side princess herself, could get a job then I think Carter could too.

~ I love Blair when she's being bitchy! It makes sense that Blair has a seemingly irrational dislike for Bree. She's an Upper East Side princess and I guess Bree is a Texas Oil Princess. They might both be from rich families but those two are not on the same level. We all know Blair likes keeping the class system alive.

~ Chuck called Serena his stepsister. She's not. Lily legally adopted him so that makes him Lily's son, not her stepson. So legally, Chuck & Serena are brother and sister. I hope this is not a way for the writers to keep their options open for Chuck/Serena pairing. I love them as siblings, nothing more.

~ I understand how Dan could still have Serena on speed dial but why does he call HER about Rufus & Lily. He doesn't know that Lily & Serena have patched things up (and anti-climactically too).

~ Please, for the love of God, someone get Jenny to wash her face and comb her hair. Oh and while you're at it, get Vanessa a comb. Stat!

~ They watched The Parent Trap! I loved that movie. Pre-rehab LiLo was adorable! She was really good in that too.

~ Loved that little smile Serena gave Rufus at the restaurant. Those two are deleloping a cute connection. Hopefully, it doesn't turn into a weird vibe like Rufus & Vanessa had in S2.

~ Chuck giving Blair a massage is very cute but how could Chuck still be thinking about Serena & Carter at a time like that?

~ Maybe Misty Bass' picture is on the table for Chuck.

~ Love the two former Constance queens ordering the new Constance girls around. I aso love that Serena christened Jenny's new minions, the New Mean Girls. Very appropriate!

~ Dorota in a dress & hat is adorable! Oh, and she forgot Meester Chuck has a chopper.

~ Why does Serena expose too much cleavage at her mother's weddings? The dress looks good and all. Well, everything looks good on her but I think the dress is more appropriate for an evening event than a garden wedding at daytime. Eric Daman, I love you but I'm just saying.

~ Okay. I might not like Chuck butting in Serena's relationship with Carter but I do love that he's looking out for her.

~ The Buckleys want to kill Carter because one of their own got stood up at the altar? If I were them, I would thank, my lucky stars that the creep didn't go through with it.

~ Scott didn't get much of a headstart. They could have easily caught up with him at the garden. You could still see him walking away after Georgina told them he's their child.

~ May I just say that Serena looks gorgeous in this shot?

~ Why aren't Serena & Dan more weirded out that they're now stepsiblings? For that matter, why aren't Chuck & Jenny?

~ Again, that scene right at the end when Chuck was teling Serena all. I love that he's being all big brother on her. He genuinely cares fo her. He's been doing that even before they became siblings.

~ I almost jumped for joy when Nate asked Bree to leave.

~ Loving the new friendship Dan & Blair seem to have now.

~ Dorota & Vanya, FTW!

~ Nate & Serena standing right next to each other at the end. Ask her to dance, you moron! Kidding!

It was a good episode, even with all the sadness at the end. It was classic GG.

I liked Rufus & Lily. Especially that part with them trying to reason with each other about Olivia's behavior. It was cute.

Hated Vanessa for messing with Blair (and b/c Chuck got hurt in the process), but I liked that they ended up keeping each other company at the end. Dan/Olivia were also good.

Favorite parts:

- Serena & Carter's convo. These two have to get it right & be together! If I wasn't so in love with them already, that scene would win me over for sure. The fact that Carter struggles to do the right thing for S and that Serena begs totally gives me hope for Ca/S. Everything about that scene just screams love.

- Serena/Nate scheming against the Buckleys was fun to watch. I missed their scenes so much. NS are adorable being badass together. Maybe they make up next episode...

That friendship needs to stay intact.

Sad about three things:

- Carter leaving.

I know it was a huge gesture on his part, especially that he does it for Serena and to make himself better for her... but damn, a part of me wishes he didn't walk away. Serena's broken plea at the end was heartbreaking enough. Then we get Carter's sad/defeated smile before getting in the car at the end.

Sadness.

- Blair manipulating Chuck. He didn't deserve it. Chuck's been the sweetest bf this season, showing some real character in terms of his love for B. And and finding out via PA was even worse. Poor baby.

- Nate using Serena. It was good for N character-wise, at least he can be badass now, not boring. But using S & shrugging off her feelings for Carter was harsh. He could have let her down easy. Carter enslaved by Buckleys was bad, now Nate does something to hurt S. All my ships are crashing. Grrr.

The only thing I'm going to say is if they keep pushing Serena, she would push back, just remember last time she did it, she got Yale. I mean first was Nate, now Blair.... by now she only "have" Chuck on her side.
