After seeing their scene in the season finale last night, i`m intrigued by the prospects of Carter and Serena. They definitely have some good chemistry between them. Plus Carter is obviously under Serena`s spell, but then again what red blooded hetrosexual male wouldn`t be? Hopefully we`ll see a lot of them at the start of next season.

I think Serena/Carter have so much potential together, that it'd be for both characters benefits (and the viewers, lol) if they got together.

I think Carter is a mix of like, Chuck and Gabriel. Or just Gabriel, without the con artistry. In all honesty, I hoped that if Gabriel thought Serena anything was that - the type of guys she should be going for. Not a tortured artist boy. someone who's on her level/class in life. Someone who understands her, doesn't judge her and likes to have a good time. Just like her. And who else better than Carter? lol.

Having rewatched the tea party scene in 110. I'm still convinced that they had a romantic past together. Just obviously not sure when, etc. But I did notice that even Cece ships them

Serena/Carter do have potential and it may benefit the show if they were explored, at least enough to explain about Serena's past and also give another insight to her. Also I would like to be invested in in just one of Serena's romances, even if it's just for a shortwhile.

I think Carter does have some Chuck in him, but some ways he's quite darker though. He sails a lot closer to the wind legally, likes to play fast and loose with the law, and when it amuses him or he wants revenge he can cause/scheme for a substantial amount of chaos and destruction. He's like this with pretty much everyone, but he tends not to act like that around Serena, unless it's going to be in her favour or she will like it, like when he changed her débutante speech in High Society and she found it funny.

I think their scene 1.10, when she's applying ice to his face hints at them sleeping together and Serena getting coldfeet the following morning and running away. She also said that what happened that night overwhelmed her (I think). It would be nice to get some clarification from the show on it.

Fan reaction - from the places I've been reading have been very supportive. I hope the writers take note. It's what people want. And that's what should matter to them.

I would like to know a bit more about Carter. What does he do? He just travels around the world and has fun? How did he and Serena meet?

I confess I've never been so interested in a character for a long time. There's so much potential between these two. No doubt characters with a past are so, so interesting.
