And I totally agree with you. I was seriously hoping for Haley getting into trouble (or maybe her sister or something, just not Jack because that would affect Hotch too much) so that she needed the BAU team to rescue her or someone close to her. This way she would hopefully understand how important their work is! And what an important part of that Hotch is as the leader of this team.

I always worried about Haley getting into trouble because Hotch would be devastaded. Look how affected he was when Reid was kidnapped, poor guy. It would have been interesting, though, seeing Hotch trying to solve a case where one of his family members was the victim.

I'm sure we'd have gotten at least one moment of Hotch breaking down completely ~~and JJ would be there to comfort him~~ that could make us cry. I know I'd be so sad watching my man suffer

I think that we would definitely would have a cry over a scene or maybe more scenes, and we would be screaming against our screen more too.

That's true, I wouldn't want to watch him suffer either, but it would be a chance for Thomas to show what a great actor he is. And can you imagine the scene when he saves his son or ex-wife?

Oh, that would be perfection! As much as I don't want him to suffer, Thomas always has kick-ass performances, so a moment like that would be a perfect opportunity to only reassure how talented the guy is.

I'd also love to see him interact with Haley and Jack again (I ship the Hotchner family, what can I do?

). I think Haley overreacted about his job, but in a way I can understand her. I'm married and I agree it's great (and healthy) to take some time away from the person you love, this space is needed, but when you choose to, not the BAU

I still can't understand her because I think that she should notice how important his job is and what it's asking from him at times. That's exactly why he needs support from his wife and not her cheating on him and then wanting the divorce. I totally couldn't understand her behavior one bit. While I really can understand that she felt lonely and was pissed that he spent more time on cases than with his family I just can't understand her reaction to that. She should have talked to him not cheated on him and then dumped him. That was just bitchy (but it caused some awesome angst and Thomas had some great scenes following from all that).

Just my humble opinion, though.

Oh, I don't agree with the cheating, I really don't. That made me sad, because they always seemed very much in love and the fact she cheated on him (not confirmed, but totally implied) kinda ruined what they had. Honestly, I didn't like the way they handled Hotch's marriage, cause in my opinion, it seemed okay at first, then Haley started to be bothered and annoying and, then, we had the divorce. It seems like they didn't want Haley in the picture, so got rid of her... just my point of view.
I still wanted to see them working things out, but I don't think that will happen.
