Yeah, Adam left CSI Miami temporarily. It happened during the show's 8th season. He still appeared in about half the episodes though. His character left CSI a little less than halfway through the season but he still appeared on the show. His character temporarily had a different career. He returned full time for season 9 and was on for the last season as well.
Here's an interview with Adam when he re-joined the show in season 9. He mentions that he and CBS wanted different things which is why he left. Exclusive: The real story behind Adam Rodriguez' surprising 'CSI: Miami' comeback | EW.com |

Yeah I loved CSI Miami. And as I've said before Delko was probably my favorite character on the show.
CSI Miami is criticized for being over the top and cheesy but I still loved it. |

One of my former mods and she used to mod a CSI board ( since closed ) loved the show .
I am a fan of David Caruso and the Science behind solving the crime . That show had two very attractive women detectives / actresses . Eva Laru played a detective on criminal minds season nine .. __________________

I didn't watch CSI: NY, so I can't really compare it to the other two CSI shows. Oh wait, there was CSI Cyber too but I didn't watch that either.
I watched CSI and CSI Miami. I liked both and I liked that they were different. They both solve the crimes using forensic evidence. What I liked about CSI Miami was they made their show a bit different by making it a bit more "action-y". The CSI's on that show had a bit more of a cop feel to them. The show had a bit more flash, but I was fine with that because it made it a bit different than the mother ship. Plus, it was set in Miami, I think the tone of the show worked David Caruso and I share a birthday! I know he's been in other stuff but I've only really seen him in CSI Miami. I have heard he was difficult to work with though. He gets a lot of heat but I liked him and his character on CSI Miami. |

David Caruso the actor got heat cause he left movies to do TV .Then left TV to go back to movies . He at the time was a big name actor to go to TV full time . Adam , I had seen Magic mike 1 ,didn't realize it was him in the movie .. He looked so different ..
He is almost the perfect fit for the show , already played a FBI Cop for 8+ seasons on TV ,easy to jump back into a role where you have to "shoot chase bad guys" __________________

CSI: Miami was super cheesy but I loved it. I've always liked David (and the Miami team) more than the original CSI team. I don't remember when I stopped watching the show but I remember liking it a lot.
Adam surely will fit right in with CM crew. __________________

Yeah, I liked the Miami team. But I also liked the team on the original CSI.
I watched CSI Miami for its entire run. It started when I was 10 and that's when I started watching it (I swear I'm not a psycho ). It ended my sophomore year of college. I started watching CSI when it came out. I was 8 (again, I swear I'm normal ). However, I think I stopped watching regularly around season 8 or 9. That's also around the time the original team started getting mixed up and people were leaving. I did, however, start watching CSI a bit again when it was on after Criminal Minds. I thought it was still pretty good. I think they should have kept CSI on after Criminal Minds on Wednesdays. I think that was the best Wednesday night schedule for CBS. Survivor, CM and CSI all got good ratings. When they moved CSI, its ratings weren't as good and CBS had a hard time finding a successful show to put Wednesdays at 10. But yeah, I liked that for the most part, the CSI Miami team remained the same, with only a few changes here and there. The original CSI had a lot more changes. |

I never watched CSI but he's pretty much the only face I remember from it with the main girl in another CSI (don't know their name ).
I am excited how they'll portrait him __________________
