I like the way Luke looks at Penelope, but I miss Morgan so much it kinda damps my enthusiasm, I think that's a chemistry they can't replicate anymore, but I hope to see this relationship develop. No one will have the relationship Garcia and Morgan had, but that's a good thing. Everyone's friendship/relationship will be different.

I'd like to think Garcia will dial back at the "newbie" attitude towards Luke this season. I mean, she may still call him newbie, but he has been there for a year now. So I do think some of that may be toned back a bit.

I think Garcia and Luke can have a similar relationship to Morgan and Garcia (partially because I feel the writers feel like that kind of relationship is needed), but it'll still be its own entity. Garcia and Luke sort of have that teasing, poke fun (not in a harmful way) relationship, whereas Morgan and Garcia would occasionally tease and poke fun, a lot of it was more fun and flirty.

I know a lot of people want Garcia and Luke to be a couple, but I don't. I've never wanted anyone on the team to date. It would change the team/family dynamic.

True, but she was still calling him newbie even when Walker joined and was the newbie

But yeah, he's been there for over a year, i think that's long enough to no longer be deemed newbie

Garcia sure knows how to grate on my very last nerves. But I've found her much more tolerable and likeable ever since Morgan's been gone. And surprise, surprise ! I like her dynamics with Luke much more than hers with Derek. Actually, to be honest, there's not even any comparison about the way I like those two relationships. So let me rephrase that :

I like her dynamics with Luke while I hated her over the top, obnoxious,, unprofessional, sexually filled "friendship"/innuendos with Morgan.

Now, if we could only get past the "newbie" stage...

I've noticed a lot of Garcia-Luke shippers on Tumblr lately under the Criminal Minds tag. It seems like a lot of people want them to get be a couple.

I personally would prefer if they don't go this route. I like not having relationships between team members.

I don't want Garcia & Luke to become romantic either. Good friends sounds just great. By the way, how come we never hear about Garcia's boyfriend, Kevin, anymore ? Those two were so cute together.

Garcia and Kevin broke up a few seasons ago. Garcia has been seeing a guy named Sam since about season 9. They occasionally mention him. Garcia did bring him up last season in the premiere when she was having those awkward conversations with Luke in the elevator
