Good ep focus on Reid, with no Morgan Emily and JJ are who I enjoy seeing one on one scenes … On the plane JJ was funny with Spencer and germ Issue ) I knew Reid was going to do his best not to kill the unsub . The unsub delusional , mentally unstable .. it took me the 2nd scene with the grandma to understand she wasn’t there .
Did I miss it or we never found out how he stuffed a body into the suitcase didn’t hear the ME say bones were broken ..
I really like the Alvez character , just for me , he and Tara don’t match up on screen as partners . Tara has grown on me , didn’t like her at first .
I get a bit disappointed when JJ and Reid aren’t paired up Or Emily and JJ . I’ll have to go back and find the season , unsub was two guys one getting married super intelligence , they kept putting clues in a newspaper . Reid would decipher them …… anyway there was a scene Emily and Reid she teases him that he has lost his mojo and starts deciphering the ad in front of Reid .. Last night that reminded me of some of the past prentiss Reid scenes of psst seasons

The stuff with Reid was good. Wasn't too fond of the case itself though. I feel like we've seen this type of case before (someone on another site compared it to With Friends Like These).

Rossi and Tara had some funny lines. I like that Prentiss offered Reid to teach seminars to other agents when he's on his 30 days off.

That 100 days on/30 days off thing will probably be how they work Reid out of a few episodes soon (when he misses 2-3 for his time off in October).

The end scene was nice.

I'm glad Reid was honest with Prentiss and admitted he was nervous. Still not used to Prentiss calling him "Spencer" though.

Matt, you brought up how you reminded of past Prentiss and Reid scenes. A few of us at Spoiler TV were actually discussing about how it seems like Reid's stuff in this episode could be foreshadowing to something not so great happening. But we were also discussing how it seems like Prentiss has sort of been doing the whole sister/friend thing with Reid (like when he was in prison) as opposed to acting more like his boss. It would be interesting if Prentiss had to be a bit more firm with him and put her foot down if something were to happen. I really liked the scenes in Green Light and Red Light where Prentiss was a bit more stern with Garcia and the team. I felt she truly felt like the unit chief then. Not that she has to be that way all the time, but it would be nice to see from time to time. Sometimes I don't see her as the boss but rather just another agent and friend of the team.

coulld be the all the news ,horrific news that every Tv show last night was down . Recently saw a few older reid ep , one with the kid who they thought was stabbing hookers who had sought out reid . other small town poilice are kileld reid no gun or vest confonts the unsub a guy like 18 , who wants sucide buy cop , reid blocks the team view .. He gets the guy to put down the rifle. simmler to the theme of not killing a young unsub . season 4 ,since he was at a AA meeting for ploiice and FBI about being sober from his additction

Matt, that episode you described was the season 3 episode Elephant's Memory. Such a great episode.

The timeline in last night's episode doesn't make sense but I'm not surprised. It's currently October 2017, because when they said the first victim was killed a month and a half ago, Luke said that meant around the end of August. The team took 6 weeks off, so that means the events in Red Light and Wheels Up took place in Late July/Early August? I don't buy it.

I get Reid was the only one on probation, but you'd think maybe they would have questioned Emily going back so soon. She was in a car accident, kidnapped, emotionally tortured and lost one of her agents in the span of a few hours. I know Reid needed approval since he had been arrested, but I'm surprised no one questioned Emily going back to work after everything that had happened.

Weak ass episode.

Hot ass unsub, lol, he was like the best looking unsub in the whole series.

Too many profilers... its just awful, look at them at the plane, they have nowhere to sit.. just awful. Matt is kind of still weird addition even tho I like it, but...

Best parts about this episodes are the team moments: the best one hands down are when Luke said "well i can crack a few jokes about uniforms and spange baths" and JJ and Prentiss just look at him

Yep, nice excuse for MGG to miss 2-3 episodes.. what kind of contract is that damn...
At first when they said he got reinstated with a CONDITION, I thought he wouldnt be able to go in the field... but then this crap about 30 days off just serves as MGG getting time off for stuff.

But I agree it was a weaker episode. And I agree about too many profilers. 8 team members, with 7 profilers, is just too much. I get Tara and Reid miss episodes here and there, but those missed episodes don't always overlap. I think it did once last year. But even then, with just 1 of the profilers gone, you still have 6 and even then, that's still a lot. Especially when in the first 5 seasons, it was 5 profilers and a media liaison out with Garcia at the office. I think 5 was a good number of profilers with a media liaison and tech analyst. When JJ came back as profiler it wasn't too bad since they still had the same number of people going out on the case. But smaller definitely worked better. The season 11 premiere showed they were perfectly fine with just the 4 profilers and Garcia for most of the episode.

I do like Matt though. And Luke and Tara. And I liked Walker. But this sudden need for 8 members is weird. Did they think they needed that extra person last season to make up for Hotch/TG being gone? If that's the case then that's stupid. They've always had no more than 7 and it's not like anyone could easily "replace" Hotch/TG. And if the reasoning was to have that extra person for when MGG and Aisha are gone, that's also a bad excuse. Those two don't miss enough episodes to warrant an extra person all season. It would be one thing if they had that extra person come in when MGG and AT miss an episode. I kind of wish that's what they had done with Damon last season. Only used him as a recurring character and maybe have him help the team out on a case (especially when Reid was in prison). But Walker's main purpose was to catch Scratch, so they should have focused more on that and just brought him in occasionally to specifically focus on that.

Believer, I agree, the plane did look a bit crowded. But I think the number of profilers is also noticeable when they give the profiler. They've turned giving the profile into a horrendous thing with everyone saying a sentence then the next person goes on. It's even worse with 7 people!

Rossi had a funny line about middle aged women not being able to say no to him.

And yes, a good excuse having Reid's 100 days on/30 days be a way to work in MGG's absence. My only question is: what about later in the season? Will MGG miss more episodes in the second half? Or after episodes 8-11 will they say he no longer needs to do that format?

Yes, even giving the profile was weird. To me, there isn't much difference between 5 profilers + media liason or 6 profilers, its all the same with me and 6 is a fine number. It's just enough - 3 teams by two, nice and easy.
But 7 is toooo much. Even the team photo looks weird in the credits - Prentiss and Reid centre instead of just Hotch. Because there are 8 members... too much man... They could've just fired Damon and that would be fine.
