Criminal Minds, Blindspot, SVU Pulled Opposite World Series Game 7

CBS has pulled this week’s original episode of Criminal Minds from Wednesday’s schedule, with Fox’s well-watched World Series serving up Game 7, TVLine has confirmed.

Similarly, NBC has replaced tonight’s slate of original Blindspot, Law & Order: SVU and Chicago P.D. episodes, in favor of a pair of SVU repeats (this season’s first two episodes) followed by a P.D. rerun (“Made a Wrong Turn”).

CBS’ Survivor and Code Black will still air new episodes.

Having drawn north of 20 million viewers for the past two games, baseball’s Fall Classic’s clincher is projected to possibly draw an audience of 30 to 35 million.


The originally scheduled Criminal Minds episode was to “officially” mark the beginning of Aaron Hotchner’s extended special assignment for the Director, seeing as Thomas Gibson initially was written out for just Episodes 3 and 4, in the wake of an on-set altercation with a writer/producer. (Soon after, however, the original cast member’s permanent exit was announced.) Airing in its place will be a repeat from a year ago, “Target Rich.”
CBS previously swapped in a slate of repeats on Tuesday night, when the World Series stretched to Game 6.

I still don't see them killing Hotch.

I was under the impression that we'd figure out what happens with Hotch in episode 6 since Kirsten said we would find out in Erica's episode. Unless they start it up in this episode and finalize everything in episode 6.

Due to the World Series game 7 Ana .. A new episode will get killed in the ratings. With the baseball game maybe getting 25 million people to watch

It is a season 11 Ep 7 Target Rich . I just turned it on and I saw Morgan and Hotch together !! Joy is in this ep ..


EDIT: CBS made the right call as did NBC.fox world series over 38-42 million watched Game 7,plus it went into extra innings and rain delay at 1130 pm

CBS has officially listed this ep as airing next Wed .. with last weeks ep preempted for a re run, means we will wont get another re run for a weeks till maybe December . This show unlike others doesn't have a fall finale ..

Looks like there won't be a new episode November 23



This would put Joe's episode (episode 7) airing November 30. If they didn't air any repeats from November 30 through December, that would put episode 10 airing December 21. Not sure if they would go that late into December or not. Could episode 10 possibly not air until January?

There is! The episode this week is the one that was originally scheduled last week but got moved due to the World Series.



Not having a new episode the week on November 23 makes sense since that is Thanksgiving week.

Yeah, I don't think they usually air a new episode the night before Thanksgiving.

I would think since they had last week off and will have the day before Thanksgiving off, they won't take another break in December until it's time for winter hiatus. But I guess the question is do they air an episode December 21 (seems kind of late) or wait until January to air episode 10. That would mean only 9 episodes would air in the first half, with 13 airing in the second half.

Finally after one week delay we get a new episode . After a very long night last night with the US elections I really need this show to get my mind on to other things
