Gah. LOOOOOVED this episode so much.
JJ and Garcia continue to rule my universe. Seriously, they're great together and apart. And JJ's last scene with Hotch totally made me tear up. Le sigh. __________________

One of the best they've had in a while.
The scene with Hotch and JJ was very touching. Talking about dealing with the pain they have gone through especially when losing someone you love. That's pretty much the jist of it without saying what happened exactly. It was such a lovely scene. And JJ looked so pretty. __________________

I loved the episode as a whole last night, though I will admit I had hoped to see JJ's past intersect more with her work. Yes, her past is the reason she pushed hard for the case but... they didn't explore the affect on her as an agent very much. In fact, aside from taking the case she didn't do all that much in terms of helping with it. And I don't mean that in a bad way.
Garcia got just as much focus on her past as JJ did. And I love Garcia but I would have liked for the episode to be a little more focused on JJ since it is most likely the closest thing to a JJ centric episode we'll ever get. That aside, I did love Garcia's interaction with the boy. The Hotch and JJ scene was perfect. It embodied everything about their relationship. Since season one I have thought that Hotch interacted with JJ so differently than with the rest of the team. Because she has a seperate job he isn't so much her boss as her co-worker. He always trusts her judgment and lets her handle her job the way she sees fit. But he aso pays attention to her and notices when something is off. He's done it in other episodes and it was nice to see him do it again. Their moment was so quiet but so powerful. I've always thought that Hotch sort of leaned on JJ, whether it be to help him with a job or otherwise. She's the person that keeps him connected to the cases and to the world in many ways. I liked seeing that again this season. I also liked the case in this episode. It was different, if not a little easy to figure out. I was convinced the father was doing it with in seconds of seeing him. But I liked the boy and his story. I also liked the message that the episode adressed. Over all it was a good episode. __________________

Yeah, the JJ/Hotch scenes were really good...especially the end!
I loved when Garcia and that goth boy bonded. Super cute. And I thought it was funny when Reid was lecturing and someone asked what planet he was from. LOL. The unsub was so disgusting. I'm glad they caught him. Garcia and JJ ruled the ep. AJ Cook's hair was sooooo pretty! __________________

I liked this episode. But I agree, it wasn't really as JJ centric as I would have liked. I really wanted one of the team a part from Hotch to notice her behaviour and say something about it. But the end with Hotch was great, while I see these 2 more as brother and sister then anything else, it's great that they can lean on each other.
But much like North Mammon we didn't really get to Know much, she's still a mystrey. And Garica was great, It's always great when she gets to go with the team. __________________
