Shemar had a rough 2019. His friend/former co-star Kristoff St. John passed away in February, then both of his dogs passed away within a couple days of each other in March, and last month his father passed away.

Also, I didn't know this until recently, but Shemar's name is a mix of both his parents' names (Sherrod and Marilyn)

Yeah, he passed away a couple weeks before Christmas. Shemar wasn’t close to his dad, but it was still his dad

Swatt gang . Good cast ,shemarv allowed to play a normal crime fighting role. His character could be a leader and a father a friend lover on screen. CM it is mostly solving the case

Sad news on February 8 lost his mother . All of us who have followed Shemar over the years , he was very close to his mother

I saw his Instagram post yesterday. So sad

His video was very emotional and you can tell he's really hurting. On top of that, he lost his dad back in December. He wasn't close with his dad and his dad wasn't really part of his life, but like Shemar said in his Christmas Instagram post, his dad made him, so even though his dad wasn't around, at the end of the day, he was still his dad.
