No problem, Emma. And when I read that I thought BB had replaced regular CM. But then I realized I miss read it, and CM is on a short break atm.

2nd ep gave us a newer storyline as jacks ( Gary sinese ) son is working deep undercover in a Mexican drug cartel . Jack has to " arrest him" use his knowledge to find 2 unsubs killings Americans … at the end of the ep jack has to give his son a nasty shiner and turn him over to authorties to go to jail , only way to keep his cover safe . We even got a cameo from manteo cruise , head of BAU . He took over after Strausse was killed … funny he hasn't been on any CM episodes this season !

Jacks son appeared earlier in the season . The son stotyline is he has big shoes to fill." Dad you cast a big shadow in the IRT . I have to do this extreme undercover operation to prove my ability".

Last night we had the continuation of the story of Jackson Ryan . Unlike criminal minds , we do get personal stories. Jack's wife is on almost every week .

Based on ratings and news updates on network renewals , Beyond Borders won't be returning next season .. Too bad it really stands out from what we see on criminal minds.
