“The Harmful One” – Unit Chief Jack Garrett (Gary Sinise) and his International Response Team (IRT) travel to Thailand when three American volunteers go missing during a trek to Bangkok, and reconnect with former colleague Clara Seger (Alana De La Garza), who helps them rush to gather evidence leading to the UnSub before a storm threatens to wash it away, on the series premiere of CRIMINAL MINDS: BEYOND BORDERS, Wednesday, March 16 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Gary Sinise, Alana De La Garza, Daniel Henney, Tyler James Williams and Annie Funke star. CRIMINAL MINDS star Joe Mantegna guest stars as David Rossi.

I wonder if this show can draw fans of Gary Sinese / CSI ? If successful and criminal minds gets a season 12, then perhaps like NCIS we would get interaction between the two teams .

I think it is nice that Rossi is crossing over. We didn't get that with NCIS LA. NCIS LA started in NCIS, but you didn't see any crossover with NCIS until later on in the season. I think opening with a crossover of a character from the starting show is a nice little way of commending it or something (can't figure out the word I want used....

).

But like with NCIS: Red and CM Suspect Behavior, the problem is why would you need another team in US? Like NCIS:RED, you have the original and LA, why do you need a 3rd one that is flying all over... that was the same problem with CM SB and CM... If NCIS Red focused on outside of US, it would sure be picked like this CM BB...

Yeah, that's why I think CM:BB has potential. It's different enough from CM and isn't just another version of CM. CM:BB will focus on cases outside of the US, which will set it apart.

true, but I thought that was the point with NCIS:Red, moving all over and such. I thought the reason why it didn't work was because it didn't have the cliffhanger like LA did in the introduction eps. I mean, Callen got shot and we didn't know what was going on or anything and so we had to watch LA to find out what was going on and that is when they pulled the whole "he doesn't know who he is" stuff which made us watch further.

You are right. Like LA, BB has something that none of the others has......
