The chemistry between the cast totally sells the show, for sure. The original cast at least, since I'm not here for Seaver or Kate, ever.

I hate both Kate and Seaver, and wish I could erase them from my memory altogether. I didn't care for Jordan either - I do remember briefly hating her when she made up a story to a victim's family so they could feel more connected to her and Hotch called her ass out. It was glorious

^ I'm with you-could have done without all of them, and I'm glad the episodes in syndication don't really ever show Jordan. I loved when Hotch called her out on that, too.

I just don't like any of them, and nothing could change my mind.

That's a good video. I love that Adam filmed it! As for whether they use their real phones or not, it's possible Adam had it with him or keeps it in his pocket. You'd think they would want to use set phones to make it easier, but I suppose they could let them use their real phones. There was a blooper of Thomas and Paget I think and I think Thomas had a phone go off and he pulled it out of his pocket? So either they use their phones or the actor's just keep their phones on them while using fake phones as well.

No Matthew or Aisha in this video. I believe they're filming episode 10 right now. And it looks like they're filming the roundtable scene, so no MGG or Aisha means there's a good chance they aren't in the episode. Unless Matthew was in the dinosaur costume?

Will be interesting if MGG does in fact miss an episode. I can already see people going crazy online and yelling at Harry for just saying Matthew "had a day off". Yeah, a day or 20

Does anyone know what role the newcomer will be playing ? Will he be another profiler in the team ? Or the new unit chief ?

As I said in the Prentiss thread, Emily will be the new unit chief soon.

This new character will probably just be a new addition to the team. He supposedly has a spy background.

As for why they need the new member, I don't know. With Hotch gone and Emily back full time, the team number was at 7, which is the number they've almost always had. But now they're adding someone else to make it 8, the most they've ever had.

Some people think it's because the network thinks they needed two people to replace Hotch. Other fans are speculating that another character may be leaving later in the season.

Yeah I now know about Prentiss taking over Hotch's position soon, thanks. But for a moment there, when I heard there would be yet a new member on the team, I feared he'd be the new chief, which, I gotta tell you, would've made me less than pleased. I guess the execs knew better not to infuriate people more over Gibson's departure.

I don't wanna sound harsh and I do wanna keep an opened mind to newbies. After all, once upon a time there was this newbie girl called Prentiss who became my fave. But with that being said, I truly fail to see the need for an 8th player.

I agree, Nana. I won't actively be a brat about the new guy - like Garcia was to Luke - but I'm not excited about him joining the team at all. We have a perfect number of players now, people we already know and love. Luke is a newbie but it seems fans already warmed up to him, and Tara joined last season and was welcomed with open arms, seeing as they decided to make her a regular. Adding a new member now seems excessive and pretty pointless but let's see what the new guy brings.
