I can't say I've ever paid attention to notice something like. I just presume releasing albums varies between artists regardless of genre but I guess there are some country artists who seem to do it every year or every 2 years . While I hate the wait I'd rather they concentrate on their lives & release when they're truly ready & happy with the product than just a continuous stream of new music each year. I don't know though, those artists may still be living their lives & loving what they're producing too . I'd like to think her taking the time adds to the final product of an amazing catalogue & final products though
Storyteller for me was one of the weaker albums? It has fun songs but lacked some of the passion from her previous ones (or at least previous two) & the following one __________________

I remember watching an episode of “One Tree Hill”, and one of the character’s, Mia, had released an album. Then, like 2 episodes later, they were telling her she had to start working on her next album. I’m like, she just released an album & they’re already demanding her start working on another album? Give her time to breath, geez! I know it was fiction, but I do wonder if that’s what it’s like in real-life... Demanding one album right after the other? I guess it depends on how successful the artist is. That’s why I kinda like when it takes several years for artists to release albums, because you know they’ve taken their time on it & made it a great album. |

That may be fiction but that's way too soon You need time to appreciate & promote what you've just put out

I actually think her earlier albums are her more weaker ones if she were to have them because she was still trying to prove herself. She had some massive hits, but still overall they were weaker in terms of some of the more recent songs.
I love Blown Away, so Storyteller in terms of that is slightly weaker but she's growing with her sound. __________________

I agree with you to a point, but for me this album is more hit & miss while I love the earlier ones. Then I do agree here she's been able to play more, find herself, & possibly be herself more

Yeah I have loves on this album which I like more than songs on Cry Pretty too but I find that's common though as there's always some songs you don't like so much on albums

Smoke Break and Church Bells were my favorite. I loved the beat to Dirty Laundry.

I love CCA because of the real country twang and harmonica sounds. Seeing her performing it live was awesome!

I was listening to this album the other day and I realized something:
On “Dirty Laundry”, she says the line, “...and you know I don’t drink red”, but on the song, “Heartbeat”, she says, “Red wine, good times...” I know they’re just songs and she has to tell the story, but I thought it was kinda funny when I realized that. |

That is pretty funny having those lines on the same album
I think for those Heartbeat is more likely to be her story while the other is just a story telling song __________________
