I still work 5 days a week, I have days off during the week if I work on the weekend.

I like having the same routine as well. Though having a weekday off is beneficial to accomplish important things as on weekends, especially on Sundays, a lot of services are closed.

Routine is good. I don't think I'd like having various days off depending on the week. I don't like it when my shifts change during one week
 (which they'll do this week  - probably shouldn't complain though when I'm only working 3 days though) I agree having a weekday off is beneficial to get things done though __________________

I can't change my days, unless I request off like today.
I have something important to do this afternoon. And principal told me I could take the whole day off. I never use my personal days any given school year because I love my job [a little too much, perhaps]. Nice thing about being a teacher is that we do get several days off throughout the school year for holidays and snow make-up days, and some days do not have students but have staff professional development. I work in healthcare, someone has to be there 24/7 so working weekends comes with the territory for me. I don't particularly enjoy it, but I make extra money when I work weekends so I do like that part
It is nice having days off during the week for sure though sometimes being some places are not open on the weekends like certain doctor offices and such. Plus if I need to run errands the stores are less busy during the week Hope everyone has a good week. __________________

Great priorities there
I'm in a similar position to you Cece. I rarely take time off (supposedly I have one of the highest amounts of leave - or at least I usually get pointed out about not taking leave), I just would rather work & its a hassle to take time off in my mind. I just don't have a desire to go off & do something or go on holidays by myself. There was a very slim chance of ever getting my ex to go anywhere with me which involved people being around either so taking time off just seems pointless to me. I'd have far more fun going to work. But I probably should take time off since while I do get weekends off the only other days off I have are public holidays . But I just took a week off & then I want to take 3 weeks off over Christmas/New Years so that's something, right?  Understandable about healthcare needing someone there all the time. Probably works out quite nice getting paid more for weekends & having weekdays off to get things done I hope everyone has a good week too __________________
