Here’s how it works:
• I will post a list of things that are Carrie related. Each list will have a theme of some sort. For instance, it might be a list of songs or fashions or performances of Carrie’s.
• Each entry on the list will start with 15 points.
• People vote on the list, either voting up the things they like or voting down things they dislike.
• In each vote, you can vote for a maximum of 3 items on the list.
• For each item you choose to vote on at any given time, you can either give up to two positive points (+ or ++) or take away up to two points (- or --).
• You can vote once every calendar day. That means you do not have to wait 24 hours between votes. You can go ahead and vote again when someone else has voted in between so that you don’t double post.
• Once an item reaches zero points, it is eliminated from the game and can no longer be voted upon. (A way to make the game even more fun is to write a short reason as to why that item was eliminated.)
• When half of the field is gone (so, when 50% or more of the field has been eliminated), then people can only add one point while still being allowed to subtract up to two points. (i.e. you can still vote + or – or --) This keeps the game from going on forever if there is something that people are going back and forth on.
• Last item standing wins!
A couple of helpful things to remember:
• After you’ve voted and reflected that vote in the list, reorder the list so it is in order from highest vote totals to lowest.
• After you vote, check just above your vote to make sure nobody voted at the same time as you did. If their vote appears above yours, it is your responsibility to edit your list to reflect their votes.
• People make math mistakes or forget to check if someone else posted simultaneously. Don’t sweat it, everyone is human and this is just for fun. If you notice a mistake, just say at the beginning of your post that you’re fixing a mistake before voting so that everyone knows why you’re making certain changes.

Here is an example of how it would work:

Starting List:
15 – Blue
15 – Green
15 – Purple
15 – Red
15 – Yellow

My vote:
Blue ++
Purple ++
Yellow --

17 – Blue
17 – Purple
15 – Green
15 – Red
13 – Yellow

Next Person’s vote:
Purple ++
Green ++
Yellow --

19 – Purple
17 – Green
17 – Blue
15 – Red
11 – Yellow

Etc. Etc. Etc.

For the first round...we'll play Favourite Song in Some Hearts! (I start the list in alphabetical order )
