Carrie Branching Out #1 - Any Ideas For Future Projects?

Would you like Carrie to stick to the country genre or to have a go at something else?
Any other advertising campaigns you'd like to see her get involved with or would you rather she stayed away from doing stuff like that?

I think I would like to see her stick to Country. I would like to see her doig more commercials and maybe branching out more into acting. She seems like she could be a good little actress

Yeah I'd like her to stick to country too. And hmm, I wouldn't want her to act unless she was brilliant at it.

Exactly. Definitely not!

I dunno how long AI'll be going on for but it'd be cool if Carrie was a mentor on it!

Ya, I never thought of that. She could become a guest judge.

You mean like one of the judges who's just there for 1 night, like Clive Davis was?

I think Carrie would be worse than Paula at giving criticism. She seems like she'd just smile at them if she couldn't figure out anything nice to say.

LMAO! So funny 'cos it's true. Aw, poor love is too sensitive.

Being a mentor though, that would be awesome. She would have invaluable advice for the contestants! How To Win American Idol: 101.

I'd love for her to be a mentor. Not only could she give them tips on how to win, but she could give them a lot of advice at being successful after Idol. That seems to be the biggest battle.

Carrie being a mentor would be so great. But as you girls said, she is too sensitive and she would always find the best things in every contestant (is that the right word? ) She knows how difficult is to be there and so she would like them to feel good

Carrie not going back to idol would be the way to branch out..break ties with the show, to prove that she's really made it [bit like Kelly Clarkson], problem with that is the negative criticism she'd receive for trying to break away. Like, they would say she's dogging the show that made her famous, when really she's just trying to prove that she's getting through in the industry of her own merits.

It's a bit strange.

I think it's kind of a double edged sword. Like Evie said, if she stopped showing up on Idol, she would get negative criticism. But in order to win over some of the naysayers in the country music industry and to have them take her more seriously, I think she would have to break away from Idol and kind of stand on her own feet. Not that she hasn't, but compared to Kelly Clarkson, Carrie is still really associated with the show.

I like that she's still "actively" involved with the show, for many reasons, but mostly because it means she's on my tv more.

Yeah I like that she's still involved with it too. She's had enough success to prove that she is genuinely a brilliant artist, Idol just kicked it all off!
