Your all time favorite book

Hi everyone, my all time favorite book has got to be Flowers in the attic by V.C Andrews because it moved me more than any other book has or will ever do! So what's yours? And to make this more interesting only choose one!!

Oh my, that's a very difficult decision for me to make, for obvious reasons. I'd have to say that one of my favorite books, and probably the most influential book in making me into a writer, is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I think without that book I would never be where I am right now. So that's probably my favorite book, but I have numerous others that rank fairly high.

Yeah, there's a thread somewhere on the books board called Fan Forum's Own published that's about my book. I don't like to use this as publicity so for this forum I'll stick to saying that I write science fiction, the first of the trilogy I've published is for young adults and right now I'm working on a science fiction novel for adults, hopefully to be finished this year and published next year but since I'm in school I don't have as much time to write as I want to.

I know its not very exciting, but i'd have to say my favourite book is the Lord of the Rings.
I love Tolkien! (though the Hobbit didn't do much for me.)

I have to confess that i've tried to read that but i just find it very long and boring, i think it's because i tried to read it after watching the movie and it's totally different than the movie don't you think?

It's my goal to read that over a break from school, maybe Christmas. I really want to read it, I just have to take the time to do it. I wasn't very enthusiastic about The Hobbit either though. But perhaps I'll like the trilogy better.

It's been ages since I last write sth in fanforum, but I'm gonna post this time..

My all-time favourite book is The pillars of the earth. I've lost the count of how many times I've read it... perhaps once every two years or so.. and I still like it as the first time...

I finally read the third part in that series, I read the first and fourt ages ago, then got my hand on the second. But I think the third one was the best, because I just wanted to jump into the story and fix things! It was so frustrating, and I never ever feel that way about books.

But my favourite book of all time would be On The Jellicoe Road by an Australian author Melina Marchetta. It was just so amazing, as soon as I finished reading it I read it again!

The majority of the story line is the same, its just that bits and pieces were omitted (some were added, which annoy me to no end).

The first third of the 'fellowship' is fairly slow and boring i must agree, but the rest of the books thrill me.
