Hey everyone, we're TheAngel & Gabriela, the moderators of the Book board. We wanted to take the chance to say Hi.

It seems that there are a lot of guests floating around and we wanted to encourage you to join Fan Forum. It doesn't cost you a dime, it's a great place to make friends and hang out with cool people and talk about things that you love.

Anyway, a couple of rules for the board, which are pretty much the same as fan Forum's rules:

1. Not everyone is going to agree with you all the time and it is perfectly fine to disagree with someone as long as it is done respectfully, but do not attack other posters. Please treat other members with the same respect and courtesy that you would want for yourself.
2. Duplicate threads will be merged. Please look and see if there's already a Stephen King thread before making one, or any other thread for that matter. If you're not sure, PM one of the moderators and we'll check for you.
3. Do not post in all caps, as it’s considered Internet lingo for yelling (unless you're excited, and then only in moderation please).
4. Please do not post advertisements for books on the book board. This is considered spam and will be closed/deleted and if this behavior is repeated then it will be reported to the powers that be. We welcome information about books in order to stimulate discussion, but if you're looking to sell your book, you need to look elsewhere.

I think it's really nice with a book board, and not just movies and celebrities and stuff (and of course the news board lol, I'm quite alone when it comes to my political views there). I really love books, I read a lot and always have. My parents are both librarians so it's no wonder, right? Anyways, just wanted to give you cred for the thread. nice work, and you're doing a good modding job, TheAngel.

Thank you. I haven't been around lately because school's starting again and I'm going away from home this semester so I was moving out of my house and into the dorms. I just got internet on Wednesday and have been fooling around with school stuff. it's good to be back.

Question: Is there a Canadian authors appreciation thread or a thread for international authors? The reason that I ask is because I would like to start a Canadian author appreciation thread so that people can discuss their favourite Canadian authors (you've probably read The English Patient or The Life of Pi or Cat's Eye or something else that you have read by somebody that would be consider to be a Canadian author). If there hasn't been a thread started, I would like to start one, if people are interested.

Hey I'm new to this thread My name's Jussara, I'm an English teacher, and I've always loved to read so I'll be posting here with you guys
