Books - Welcome to the Book Board (Please Read and Respond Before Posting)

Hey everyone, I'm Angel, mod of the Book board. I just wanted to take the chance to say hi.
It seems that there are a lot of guests floating around and I want to encourage you to join Fan Forum. It doesn't cost you a dime, it's a great place to make friends and hang out with cool people and talk about things that you love.

Anyway, a couple of rules for the board, which are pretty much the same as fan Forum's rules.
1. No "Bashing" threads: If you say, "I don't like so and so's style of writing because he includes too much detail and I get bogged down," that's okay. But if you create a thread saying, "OMG! SO-AND-So SUX!" Then we're going to have some problems.
2. Duplicate threads will be merged. Please look and see if there's already a Stephen King thread before making one, or any other thread for that matter. If you're not sure, PM me and I'll check for you.
3. No cursing, insults towards other FF members, Yelling (total caps, unless you're excited, and then only in moderation please).
4. No spam, I don't care what you're selling, promoting, or showing me, I probably have two already.

If anyone has any problems with the rules, come talk to me before you break them. If you do it in reverse I'm going to report you anyway.

Once again, welcome to the book board, I'm sorry that end part had to sound so mean, but we really are a friendly place. I'll try to put links to all our boards here and everything like that as well. Feel free to post here, say hi, tell us a little about yourself, and enjoy your time on the Book Board.

Hey, I can't find one. It must have gotten lost in the shuffle a while back. If you'd like to create one you can or I can do it for you.

Nope, no thread for this book. Although I have seen the book and it's pretty interesting. Once again, feel free to post your own thread or message me and I can make one for you.

I think it's really nice with a book board, and not just movies and celebrities and stuff (and of course the news board lol, I'm quite alone when it comes to my political views there). I really love books, I read a lot and always have. My parents are both librarians so it's no wonder, right?

Anyways, just wanted to give you cred for the thread.

Thank you. I haven't been around lately because school's starting again and I'm going away from home this semester so I was moving out of my house and into the dorms. I just got internet on Wednesday and have been fooling around with school stuff. it's good to be back.

I haven't been around in awhile. I'm glad to see the Books board is still here.

I love books. Reading is a favorite hobby of mine.

Question: Is there a Canadian authors appreciation thread or a thread for international authors? The reason that I ask is because I would like to start a Canadian author appreciation thread so that people can discuss their favourite Canadian authors (you've probably read The English Patient or The Life of Pi or Cat's Eye or something else that you have read by somebody that would be consider to be a Canadian author). If there hasn't been a thread started, I would like to start one, if people are interested.
