Almost finish with the first book. Got about 100 pages left.

It almost kind of reminds me of Rose/Dimitri from VA.

I love it!

If I didn't know it was an Australian author beforehand I could tell by reading the book. Just by the way some words of spelled and some of the wording. Not to mention the use of meters and when she said it was 30 degrees outside and hot at first I was like what.

Something I noticed when someone is talking instead of using the quotations marks " ' are used. Am I not paying attention and that is how it is in all books?

Yeah, I have noticed some authors do use ' instead of "
Well, since the book is only out in Australia right now you would find a lot of Australian punctuation and words

Its something I'm used to, but I guess it could be strange at first.

I'm glad you liking it.

I don't like.. something that happens in the book.. but I guess its something she needs to learn for herself. And poor Lincoln when he finds out.

It's not too strange.

But I did have a question about this line

"I'd only been baptized because Dad's family had insisted and he saw the advantages in getting better high-school placements."

What does that mean? The way I'm reading it it sounds like the ones who are baptized have better school options?

It does sound that way. I'm actually not too sure about that. I hadn't heard of that. Maybe for this book that was the case.

anything baked or bought (Like Oreos, Tim tams) are classified as biscuits.

Well not interesting but I guess different. I was thinking of an actual chocolate biscuit. Now I think I'm going to create my own since the more I think about it the more I want one.

And I know I'm going to want to read the next book. And have to figure out how to get it.
