I have read, and loved, the first three books in the Vampire Cronicles by Anne Rice. And this past summer I read Stephen King's Salem's Lot. Even though Salem's Lot was more scary, I just love the characters Anne Rice's books. Especially Lestat and Louis.

I enjoy Anne Rice, but I'm a stickler for the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer right now.

I also liked The Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause.

I enjoyed The Vampire Chronicles, now I'm obsessed with the Twilight series. And I also enjoy books based on the Vampire The Masquerade, which is a RPG.

I'm also obsessed with the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer The only other vampire-centered books I've read are the novels by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, which I really enjoyed as well.

Has anyone read any of the books by LJ Smith? The night world has some very cool creatures including vampires.

Ditto. She writes so brilliantly and creatively I love the way she describes places and people. I want to be as great a writer as she is.

I read all the Blood Books by Tanya Huff after I started watching the series Blood Ties. While I enjoyed both, they are a bit different. The three main characters are essentially the same, but the supporting characters and cases can be very different.

I love Anne Rice, though I couldn't get into the later books in the Chronicles.

When I was younger I loved Christopher Pikes Last Vampire Series, and even younger than that I loved the Point Horror series (I'm sure The Cheerleader was one). Ah, back in the day!
