No, she has also written romance/erotic novels (sometimes using pseudonyms) and a trilogy about witches (The Witching Hour, Lasher, Taltos). Not sure what else.

I haven't read a good vampire book in awhile. I've been on a Star Trek and Christmas book kick lately.

Does anybody know if there are and vampire books that are Christmas books as well?

I don't know any off the top of my head but it sounds like something fun to look into. I bet there's an anthology out there somewhere.

eta:
I found these at barnesandnoble.com by doing a simple search (Vampires Christmas):
Undead and Unreturnable by MaryJanice Davidson
Dark Celebration: A Carpathian Reunion by Christine Feehan
Fangs for the Memories by Kathy Love
Vampire's Christmas by Joseph Michael Linsner, Joseph Michael Linsner (Illustrator), Joseph Michael Linsner
Changeling for All Seasons: An Anthology by Angela Knight, Kate Douglas, Kate Douglas, Shelby Morgen, Shelby Morgen (the selection from Angela Knight is called "A Vampire Christmas")
Kudzu Christmas: Twelve Mysterious Tales by Jim Gilbert (Editor), Gail Waller (Editor) (one selection is described as: a vampire sleuth returns home for the holidays...)
Holiday With A Vampire: Christmas Cravings\Fate Calls by Caridad Pineiro (looks like a romance novel)
The Midnight Work by Kassandra Sims
Little Dracula's Christmas by Martin Waddell, Joseph Wright (Illustrator) (children's book)
Vampire Who Came for Christmas by Dian Curtis Regan

There were a couple of other books that came up but I'm not including them because they really didn't seem to fit.

Other than the Twilight Series and Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, I also love Child of the Night (Power of the Blood series) from Nancy Kilpatrick. Only problem is, the two other books are hard to find and I have to check online for them

I collect Anne Rice books. I have...
  1. Interview with a vampire
  2. The Vampire Lestat
  3. Queen of the Damned
  4. The tale of the body thief
  5. Memnoch the devil
  6. Blood and gold
  7. Pandora
  8. The vampire Armand
  9. Merrick
  10. Lasher
  11. Taltos
  12. Blackwood Farm
  13. The feast of all saints
  14. Cry to Heaven
  15. Belinda

My sister and I read the Laurell K. Hamilton books. I really like them but she is in love with them.

I have seen so many books in the library about vampires.

Are the L.A. Banks books good? I was thinking of reading them.

Am I reading your list correctly? You have Lasher and Taltos but not The Witching Hour?

Quick question to you or anyone else about Rice's vampire books. Do they have a language specific to vampires? The reason I'm asking it because during a discussion about the movie 30 Days of Night, someone brought up that in some book or series of books the vampires have their own language they automatically know when turned and he thought it was Rice's vampires.

Has anybody read In the Forests of the Night by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes? I finished it the other day and I was wondering if she continues on with these characters or was this just a stand alone book?

I have just begun a "vampire" novel by Octavia Butler, who I love, called "Fledgling".Looks like it is going to be a good read.

Hey, I remember reading In the Forests of the Night a while back, very good book. In the Forests of the Night is the last book in which you meet Risika but Aubrey makes at least one more appearance when he shows up in Demon in my View. I don't believe he has been in anything since, however.
