I started reading Sunshine a few years ago but I gave up about halfway through, I thought it was a actually a good story but I just couldn't seem to get through it.

My favourite vampire books are definitely The Vampire Chronicles, I love some of LKH's earlier books as well.

I just read Twilight and really enjoyed that....
I also loved The Vampire Diaries...by LJ Smith, it is along the same lines as Twilight.

I love vampire novels, but have a hard time finding ones I like...I like the vampires to be torn, and the novel needs some romance and drama, but its hard to find a good balance. The best ones I have found are the ones I listed above....

I love L.J Smith. She is my favourite of all authors for vampires. I liked the Vampire Diaries but her best works are the Night World series. Creatures of the night eg vampires, shapeshifters and witches (though mainly vampires) with human soul mates. It involves the end of the world and it's awesome!

I just started Interview With a Vampire yesterday. It's my first time reading Anne Rice but so far I really like it.

I am a vampire book junkie. I read a lot of Buffy/Angel books, the Night World series by LJ Smith, and I'm currently reading Twilight. Oh, a recommendation for all of you vamp book lovers: Look for Me by Moonlight by Mary Downing Hahn. Amazing book.

I just finished Nora Roberts', Morrigan's Cross (Book 1 of the Circle Trilogy)...it was recommended to me by a co-worker whom also loves vamp-novels. I have to admit, it's rather good. It has some lush in there, since it is technically a romance novel, but the storyline is fantastic. Roberts also does a fantastic job of creating the "good" vampire in Cian. I can't help but feel strongly attracted to him. I'm waiting to read the second, so I hope it's just as good! ...Oh, the main "villaness" is Lilith, the oldest known vampire. Very interesting!

PS: Has anyone read Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz? It's a Young Adult vamp novel, and HIGHLY recommended. She has such a different take on the origins of vampires that it's quite an original novel. First in a series, too. Which I'm excited about.

I wish I had more time to read so I could actually finish Interview With a Vampire. I've been reading it for two weeks but I'm only getting about fifteen minutes every couple of nights to actually sit down and read. I really like it though, but I want to get deeper into the story and into the Vampire Chronicles. I guess with all my school work it's to be expected, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

I loved the movie but I've never actually read it. I think I'm going to read that next.

I love the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. My fave books are The Vampire Lestat and Blood Canticle. Can you tell I really, really like Lestat? It's interesting because personality-wise I love Lestat the best but visually I think Armand would be the most handsome. Guess I have a thing for red-heads.

I also liked The Silver Kiss. Its written by the same author as Blood and Chocolate I believe (though I never read that book).

Anne Rice's The Witching Hour is the best vampire book I've ever read. I hear her son writes too. Has anyone ever read one of his books? I'm not sure but I think his name is Christopher.
