The Time Traveler's Wife

If there's a thread like this somewhere, please kindly close this thread

Anyway, have you guys read this book? It's really really amazing. I rarely read a love story apart from romance novels so this love story is a change from that. I'm reading it right now, just another hundred pages and it'll be done. But the last days I read it, I've been moved by it. And the feelings when I read it is so varying. Sometimes I would grin all bubbly like an idiot. I would crease my forehead in consentration. I would clench my fist and growl. I would tear up. I would chuckle at the ironic humour.

This book is beyond amazing.

So, what do you think about it?

I felt the same things while reading it.
I was very agreeably surprised by this book. I hesitated to buy the book but I couldn't find anything else that really appealed to me that day so I bought it anyway and I really don't regret it.
It's a very beautiful love story, one that like you said made me smile, laugh, dream and cry. I didn't want the book to end, even though the end is beautiful, just like the rest of the book. Anyway, I read it 3 months ago and I still think a lot about it. And I'm happy to find someone who likes it too =)

I just read this a couple months ago. I have to say I didn't like the writing style that much, but the story was wonderful; I really enjoyed reading it, in the sort of confusing timeline the story was told in. It really worked for the story as their lives were pieced together through these little fragments of time. My favorite line has to be when Clare says something like, "I would never leave you. Even though you're always leaving me." And Henry says, "But I never want to leave you."

I bought it some weeks ago, but I didn't had time to read it by now, because university is holding me busy.. But I think it's a good story, otherwise Brad & Jen wouldn't want to make a film about the story!!

The Time Traveler's Wife

Hi, i wondered if any of you guys had read this, I'm half way through at the moment and it's so brilliant, possibly the best book I've ever read and i wanted to write a screenplay but have now realized the film is due for release in 2006 through brad and jen's production company, if you haven't read it, give it a go!!

TTW is a fantastic book, you can find every possible theme in it: drama, romance, passion, action,tragedy-it´s quite amazing actually . I it. Read it twice and cried in the end everytime. I´m not much of a romance novel fan but the TTW instantly captured my interest. The way Niffenegger describes her characters, even the minor ones, and moves her plot along is done beautifully.
I can only second btvs recommendation. Go and it!

I'm planning on reading it as well. Good to know that all of my recommendations I've hear are all positive.

I pretty sure there was already a thread for this book a while ago, but I'm not in the mood to find it so I guess it doesn't matter. I really love this book. It wasn't as good as I hoped, but it has a very interesting premise and I love how it just jumps around to different time periods even if it gave me a headache trying to keep track of their ages.

~*I read this book last spring and I loved it though I did find myself feeling really sad after I was done. It took me a few days to cheer up!
