A Time For Dancing...

Who's read it? I cried so much, but it's my favourite book. I absoloutly love the friendship Sam and Jules have, it's heartbreaking but soo well written

I read this a few years ago and loved it. It was sooo sad. I had to put the book down at times because I couldn't read the words through my tears.
My sister read it in one night and cried through the whole thing.
Have you seen the movie with Larissa Olsnik and Shari Appleby? It wasn't bad, it was ok. The book captures the emotion so much more.

Oh wow, talk about blast from the past. I remember when I was in middle school and first found this book. I loved it so much! I think I must have checked it out from the library four times to read it over and over again...and I don't usually reread books that often.

I read this for the first time about 3 years ago, but I've read it several times since then. I love it so much. I was pretty much sobbing throughout the 2nd half of the book the first time I read it, though. Davida Wills Hurwin writes dialogue very realistically; I think that's the thing I like most about the book.

Has anyone read the sequel, The Farther I Run? It came out last year, I think. I really want to read it, but I haven't seen it anywhere lately. I've also wanted to see the movie ever since I heard it was being made, but no such luck so far.

I went and looked up the book and it sounds like something I'd love to read, however no library seems to have it!

I love this book. I have the sequel, it's really good too. I'd like to see the movie but can't find it anywhere.

I think the movie was only released in Italy. I finally got to see it on a cable movie channel about a year ago.

I had no idea there was a sequel. What is the story about?

I loved this book! It was so sad though. It was the first book I cried for while I was reading it.

I had no idea that this was a book!!

I have seen the movie. It took me ages to finally find a video store that had a copy of the movie. I cried when Jules died. And then when Sam had to reply to the letter saying that she had died. It was awful.

I am going to see if I can try and find this now and the sequel!! I should come and visit this board more often Thanks for the heads-up.

yea, definatly read the books! they're so worth it..

i couldn't see how the movie could deal with the depth of their friendship though, so i'm not sure if i'd like it as much.. and it hasn't come out in Canada, either.. at least i dont think so..

I'm glad I made a random decision to come to the books part of this forum, casue I found this thread. Oh my this book was so sad. I read it twice loved it the first time, and cried my eyes out during the second. I had just lost my mother to cancer when I picked it up again, and it opened a whole new world of understanding. The sequel I agree was not as good. But it was a nice wrap up. I wish the movie would come to Canada, I'd really like to see it.
