| The Tea Rose (series) by Jennifer Donnelly
My friend lent me The Tea Rose during the school year and told me to read it because it was so good, and I had no idea what it was about and before I started reading it wasn't really interested. But I was immediately sucked into the story and couldn't put it down, it was just that good!
It's a historical romance that takes place in the late 1800s in Whitechapel, London, and it's about a working class family and focuses on the oldest daughter, Fiona, and her life. But I don't want to give anything away for those of you that haven't read it yet!
There's also a second book in the series, called The Winter Rose, which is about other characters but incorporates characters from The Tea Rose.
If you like romance at all you should definitely pick up these books the next time you go to the library or book store... I don't think you'll be disappointed!  |
