Yeah, anything along the lines of "books are boring" goes into that category...

The most recurrent stupid thing I'm used to hear about books must be 'What a waste of time!'.

Oh, and I've also heard someone said that books are useless because it's easier to watch the movies adapted from them!
Here's your winner, guys.

This girl in my advisory once said, about summer reading, "Nothing you do will make me read." It seriously broke my heart.

Also, another girl in my 8th grade class once asked me how many books I had. I told her "too many to count." She's like, "Oh. I have eleven. Two of them are classics." And then she pulls The Odyssey out of her pencil bag and shows it to me. Strangest conversation I have ever had.

"I don't read."
Sorry, but some people just don't give anythign a chance...there are so many books...there has to be some genre or type that a person likes.
Oh, and "books suck." tops the list too.

I had a co-worker who was always talking abouthow much she loved reading. And she did read all the time. While I was working with her, I think she went through the entire works of Jackie Collins. I tried to talk about books with her, but she'd never heard of anythign I'd ever read, and I only knew the books she liked from having to stock "dumps" of them at B. Dalton.

Anything about not liking to read or that books are boring. I have a heart attack when I hear someone say that. You know that if they say that they hate reading, they just don't do it that often, or maybe never. It's crazy.

When told he had a library book fine at my school, this guy in my English class protested, "But I don't go to the library! I've never even rented a book!" My teacher was like, "You don't rent books, you borrow them."

Uughh, I don't like people who keep saying that she likes books but when you try discussing things with them, they look at you and say "I never heard of it". And please reading 5 to 10 books don't make you a voracious reader, and bragging about it really make me sick...My co-worker said she likes reading books and I told her, I have tons and I lend her some, after a month she haven't even touch it and says she too busy...

I understand people who don't read unless necessary but please don't pretend, it is the worst thing...

I actually find it a bit weird that people don't read. To me it's just something you do...Like going to the movies. Alrite that sounds a bit odd...

People who brag by saying "I've never read a book in my entire life".

And those people expecting me to take them seriously? I think not.

The whole "reading is for losers who don't like watching the movie" thing. Realllly old and immature.

I've heard all these before. It makes me sad.
I hate when a person is actually proud that they don't read. It makes me think they are ignorant dumba****
