Yeah, it's better not. I feel she is more focused in the movie side of the business and not so much writing. Thankfully The Host works fine as a stand alone as it originally is meant to be.

It was open ended in a way, but I think it can also serve as a standalone and you can use your imagination as to what happened next. Unless of course, she does bring out a sequel. I know she was working on it.

I always took the ending how it showed that Wanda wasn't the only one that "sided" with the humans. That there are others that are working with the humans to help them survive.
