I personally enjoy ambiguous endings. It allows the reader to create their own fantasy, happy or sad depending on how they feel about the main characters. It also mimics life. Life itself is never wrapped up in a neat little package with an epilogue and a "Ten Years Later" banner on the bottom of the screen. Life is open-ended and endings like that are a great reflection of what life really is.

I haven't actually read any of The Gunslinger series. I know my Mom went crazy for them and talked about them all the time.

I've read a good majority of Stephen's books and I love everything I have read.

Does anyone know if there is a website that lists EVERY single book he's ever written, including books he wrote under another name?

I'd like to track down what I have and haven't read so I can make of list of what I need to read!

My Top 3 favorite Stephen King Books are:

1) Misery
2) Dolores Claiborne
3) The Shining

Ms Melika, you might find this useful... StephenKing.com - The Library

I haven't read any recent stuff, though I really should, but my all time favourite King book is The Stand. Was utterly amazing and despite the 1300 page length took me two weeks to read. I did think the ending was a little rushed though, like it was such and epic story, and then it was all over in a few pages.

I haven't read a Stephen King book in awhile, but he's one of my favorite authors for sure.

My personal favorite is The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. I've been through it twice now, and about to start it for a third time.

I have "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" but haven't read it yet.

What's the plot for that one?

It's about a young girl who gets separated during a walk in the woods. She ends up going the wrong way, and keeps going farther and farther away from her family. She begins to think that somethings following her, but she tells herself that her mind is playing tricks on her.

It's very good.
