Sports Themed books

If there is a thread that is already on this topic, I am sorry and if you could just merge it.

Anyways, what do you guys think of books based on a sport figure or a specific event? Do you read them at all? Have people that you know that read and enjoy them?

Personally, I enjoy them and find them an interesting supplement to the vast amounts of fiction that I read and much lighter than some of the fare that I read on a regular basis.

It would be great to hear what you guys think as well.

My fiance read and loved Manning by Archie and Peyton Manning with John Underwood. He said that it gave a behind the scenes look at football most famous's families, Archie and Peyton talk about life, football, and family. I think I will read that when I get a free moment.

Alright, this thread needs reviving. I gave my Dad "Beyond Belief" by Josh Hamilton for his birthday, and he and I have both read it. It is amazing! I would definately recommend it to any baseball fan.
