This brush with danger was all my Pride needed to summon me back for my own protection. Yeah, right. But I'm no meek kitty. I'll take on whatever and whoever I have to in order to find my friends. Watch out, Strays cause I got claws, and I'm not afraid to use them.

ROGUE #2 - released April 1st 2008

Cats don't always land on their feet

I know that better than most. Since rejoining the Pride, I've made big decisions and even bigger mistakes: the kind paid for with innocent lives. As the first and only female enforcer, I have plenty to prove to my father, the Pride and myself. And with murdered toms turning up in our territory, I'm working harder than ever, though I always find the energy for a little after-hours recreation with Marc, my partner both on and off duty.

But not all my mistakes are behind me. We're beginning to suspect that the dead are connected to a rash of missing human women and that they can all be laid at my feet—two or four, take your pick. And one horrible indiscretion may yet cost me more than I can bear.

PREY #4 - released July 1st 2009

Play? Right. My Pride is under fire from all sides, my father's authority is in question and my lover is in exile. Which means I haven't laid eyes on Marc's gorgeous face in months. And with a new mother and an I-know-everything teenager under my protection, I don't exactly have time to fantasize about ever seeing him again.

Then our long-awaited reunion is ruined by a vicious ambush by strays. Now our group is under attack, Marc is missing and I will need every bit of skill and smarts to keep my family from being torn apart. Forever.

Anybody read this series? It is SO good! I finished PREY yesterday and I hardly remember the last time when I read a book so intense and which broke my heart!
I really recommend this one! It has everything: a good story, adventure, great characters who grow with every book and are very real, a heartbreaking love story, family matters, betreyal, loyalty......

No, I've never read this. To be honest, I've never even seen it, but it looks pretty good. I may have to check it out.

whaaaa..?? u didn't finish?? I was reading through the whole night to see what happenes. Where did u stop? There is a HUGE twist somewhere in the middle, I was OMG-ing the whole time!

I stopped at the end of Ch.4 when Faythe's father called to tell her that Ryan's gone.

I can't remember why I stopped reading, I usually have trouble putting down a book once I start. Though I've done it to like five other books this year!

Either I got busy/distracted, bored, or another book I was interested in got released and I just had to read it.

I need to finish the book I'm reading now, then I'll get back to it!

Huge twist?!? *must resist urge to be spoiled*

chapter 4??? ohhh u missed all the fun! I think Prey was the most emotional and difficult of the series. I was soooo frustrated at some point, Rachel Vincent is a brilliant author. She even got me to the point where I wanted my fave character to die, because of the stuff he/she has to deal with and it would kill her/him (I don't want to give away too much

) and that never ever happened before!
Don't get me wrong, I know it sounds negative, but it's really amazing because of the way Rachel wrote this book
and there are more than one twist

I don't know these books, but I'm about to start her 'My Soul To Take'. It looks pretty interesting! If I like it I might go looking for 'Shifters'.

This one is on my to-read list since I'd loved Shifters. I think there is a prequel to the soul screamers series but it's suppose to be some short story and I heard u can download it somwhere on one of Rachels sites. The second book will also be released soon. Tell me if you liked it after reading

The difference between the two series is that the shirfers series is adult and soul screamers is young adult

So far My Soul To Take is a good read. It's... fluent, too. (Don't know if fluent's the right word for what I'm trying to say, but I'm never at my best on Monday.

)

The romance feels a little rushed, but I like the love interest so far and they have chemistry so I'm okay with it.

Now that I know I like her reading style, I'll definitely check out the Shifters after finishing this one. I already managed to track down the first two books.

1. I knew it! I knew it! I was right about Dan! I've been suspicious of him since he and Faythe were in Marc's kitchen and he was saying he felt guilty and wouldn't look at her. Not much, but I figured that would be a twist. Though I admit I kept doubting myself.

2. Ethan!

Nooo! The only thing that truly shocked me!

3. Faythe/Jace!

Why, whhhhyyyyyyy?!??

I knew they were going to sleep together, what with the pounding hearts being mentioned constantly. And when she said she was going to check on him when Ethan died warning bells went off in my head.

I guess a one of those awful never-ending love triangles where the girl just can't choose is on it's way.

Poor Marc! Faythe keeps dragging him through dirt.

It felt like an eternity before FM got to be couple again, then they were seperated and now this crap!

There were quite a few mentions of Jace acting Alpha-like. I don't like it. Argh!

I KNOW! Ethans death killed me, he was such a great character, I loved him, he was my fave brother! Rachel mentioned his death was necessery for the Faythe/Jace thing

But anyway I thought the reactions of the rest of the family were very well written, very real...especially Gregs

I almost threw the book against the wall

I was sooo upset and frustrated! I just love Marc and he does not deserv THIS! I can't believe she can look him in the eye after that. Marc would do anything for her and I must admit (and that never ever happened before) I wanted my fave character to be dead! I don't want him to go through that crap over and over again.
On the other hand I like Jace (I just don't like him beeing with Faythe) and I can see his point. Just like Marc he has nowhere to go and nobody left except Faythe. And he can't help but to have this feelings for Faythe.
I can even kinda understand Faythe in that moment. She went trhough a lot and she hurts. Jace was there and she wanted to be there for him. How can you turn away from someone in Jace's situation or push him away. He would be even more crushed. BUT I hate people who can't be loyal! And Faythe knows Marc could never forgive her THAT, she knows but she does it anyway! I wish both Marc and Jace could walk away from her but I'm expecting them to fight over her in the next books. I really wish Marc would walk away and she woulg realize she wants him all the way and has to fight FOR HIM

I really want to read this one as well. I hope I can get my hands on the book soon.
