So I read these books when I was around 12 and fangirling all about LJ Smith

so when I heard about the tv show I picked them up again and finished the first book today, to be honest I found it to be very much better and well written than The Vampire Diaries so Im looking forward to the other 2 books a lot

though one thing that I really didnt like was how LJ Smith uses the word love lightly, Ill post this in spoilers just in case:

yeah, its my fav too! and I was so excited when I heard they are making it into a TV show too. I think this has the potential to override TVD

it could! i only read this series after hearing bout vampire diaries tv show i went out and bought tvd book series and then heard bout secret circle through that book since it was by her as well and went out and bought that series and was like wow this is way better than tvd!! LOL

That's pretty much how it was for me too

Ive now read every series she has written except her kid series.. and this one was my fav.
I think for a number of reasons.. I always have loved YA witches, and the thought that a girl comes to a town and discovering what she thought she knew about herself was wrong. And I think most of all, I loved the fact that the plot is so much more realistic than TVD.. how romance was not the main thing, which is a breather and I think it takes a lot of stress off the fandom

Well, I liked both. I mean.. I'm more of a Cassie/Adam shipper.. but I liked her with Nick too. He was sweet with her and caring.. so at least I didn't hate anyone. Maybe I didn't feel it was a triangle.. as it wasn't. But it gives me some hope that I wont hate one end of a triangle even if I ship the other side.
