Hi, I'm a new comer to this thread but I got a shipment of silhouette books today and two I haven't read maybe some of you have read/heard of the author's or the books and so I can decide on an order to read them in. lol. Also I am almost done with Time and Again by Nora Roberts. I really liked the first story but I had a hard time getting through the second one so far...not sure why. Another question - I LOVED the movie What Dreams May Come but I checked out the book and it seems to be very different, I only read about five chapter and I'm not sure if I should continue - any advice?
Here are the list of books I got today

Perfect Assassin by Wendy Rosnau
Out of Sight by Michelle Celmer
More than A Misson by Caridad Pineiro
Deadly Memories by Susan Vaughan
Baptism In Fire by Elizabeth Sinclair
Somebody's Hero by Marilyn Pappano
Dad by Choice by Marie Ferrarella

Thanks,
-Pammie

Jenny, I've never heard of that McNaught novel. Is that her latest? And I love S. Brown's short novels. I like 22 Indigo Place and many others.

Soz, I read one JD Robb book and it was good, but the heroine just really, really annoyed me so I haven't read anymore.

Yeah i think so. I just finished another good one...."Open season" by Linda Howard. It was funny and very sweet how the two characters came together. i thought it was a good one.
I am reading "Cry no more" right now by her and so far it's very intense but I'm liking it.

I like Linda Howard's older stuff like After the Night and Shades of Twighlight. I am thinking of picking up her latest book, though.

I picked up Ghost Hunter by Jayne Castle who writes at Jayne Ann Krentz and Amanda Quick. I like her futuristic world. Good stuff there so far.

Hi Pammie,

I haven't read anything on your list or any from these authors so I am eager to see how you're liking them.
I'm adding them to my list, to read up on.

Onionroach-- Which book of Howard's are you going to read?? Is it "Cover of Night? That one sounds very good.

Yeah, Remember When is very good. In fact, I've just re-read it recently and it just happens to be on top of the comp desk right now I also didn't like Until You much, I don't think I've read it the whole way through. Pretty disappointing sequel to Whitney, My Love (which is brilliant) imo...

I have the special edition WML with the enhanced ending (re-released in '99) You should try to find a copy, it's McNaught's first novel and it's a classic

I hope you like them.

I finished The Dawn Star by Catherine Asaro in a few days. I loved it and I'm looking forward to her next Luna trilogy now, which I think continues some events from this series. I've also been catching up on Asaro's shorter fiction.

When I can squeeze them in, I plan to read more by Rachel Gibson. I'm trying to get all of her books now.

I'm still in the middle of Perfect Assassin by Wendy Rosnau it's pretty good. It reminds me kind of an ALIAS kind of thing. She's an assassin taking over for her father whose been caught and her handler is in love with her but she runs off to kill the man who was invovled in the mission that killed her mother. Love happens. The only thing that is throwing me off is the guy is Indian and his grandmother gets visions...hmm...not sure how I feel about this yet. Alot has been going hence the slow reading.

I don't usually like a lot of crime/love plots but I love Jayne Ann Krentz's Soft Focus Great chemistry between the main characters with a lot of memorable scenes Another fave of mine is A Passionate Business with Krentz writing as Stephanie James. I've got a Harlequin reissue from a few years back and just now looked the title up on the net, I'm surprised it was published way back in 1981 Goes to show how good a writer Krentz is rising up the ranks from humble beginnings (started out with a lot of Silhouette books) to having probably the most pen names in romance fiction. She's 4 persons lol!

Jayne Ann Krentz
Amanda Quick
Jayne Castle
Stephanie James

Anyway, back on piont The 2 books have this in common, they're hot romances about business types... I've yet to give Absolutely, Positively a proper read (Just a few bits and pieces, it's in here somewhere lol! Gotta dig it up!) so I guess for now my fave Krentz subject is "love in the corporate world"
