JENNY_83: I love Judith McNaught. I've read most of her books. I love Perfect. It's my favorite book by her. Zack is so hot. You should REALLY REALLY REALLY read Paradise, it's suppose to come before Perfect, though. That's alright, I did that too. Someone to Watch Over Me is good, too. If you're also into historical books, you should read Whitney, My Love by her. Or Once & Always... both very good books.

Ok, I am finished.

Thanks Tina! I am almost finished with "Someone to Watch over me" so good. But I must say "Perfect" is my fave. OMG! It was so intense and just so full of love.
I have those others you mentioned on order from my library so I am gonna me going crazy with McNaught this summer. she is amazing!
I can't seem to find "Paradise" though so I might have to just buy it.
Thanks again, Tina

For me, Paradise is McNaught's best book. I just love that one. I cried. I also like Remember When by her as well.

Jenny: You're welcome.
onionroach: Hehe. I agree. I haven't read Remember When, yet. The next book I am going to read by her is A Kingdom of Dreams. Read that yet?

I read After the Abduction by Sabrina Jeffries and I didn't like it all that much. I might try reading the next book in the series because I want to know more about the hero's brother, but if I don't like that one either, then I might give up on this author.

I also read Julia Quinn's Bridgerton second epilogues for The Viscount Who Loved Me and It's in His Kiss. The first one was okay, but I didn't like the rivalry between Kate and Anthony (I never really liked Anthony all that much anyway), but Colin and Penelope were in it and I thought they were the best part of the story. The second one was sweet and it answered a question from the end of the book. I want a book about Hyacinth's daughter now because I love her.

Now I'm reading Sex, Lies, and Online Dating by Rachel Gibson. I highly recommend her to fans of funny contemporary romance. She's been compared to Jennifer Crusie (who I have to try and thankfully, my library has a few of her books) and Susan Elizabeth Phillips (I have four of her books in my TBR)

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to chime in on the McNaught and the Sparks conversation! I Whitney, My Love by Judith and Perfect, those are probably my fav books by her. Great witty banter and great love stories! Also AWTR by Sparks.

Jenny: I haven't read that book yet. Let me know if it's any good.
Rachel: Those book are good.

I read Promise Him Anything by Carla Cassidy a while ago and she's awesome! I love that book.

Has anyone read Cindy Gerard? She has a Bodygaurd Series, and I read the first one and her second one is in my TBR pile. SHE'S AWESOME. I love her. And she has two other ones out. I better get crackin'!

But as I mention before, I really want to read A Kingdom of Dreams first.

A book that I know has a lot of romance in it is "The Mists of Avalon". Granted some of the stuff is a little odd it is still interesting nonetheless as there are so many great twists and turns. I'm really fond of Morgaine & Lancelot however that bad bad man had to think of her as his mother. so of coarse Morgaine felt ruined. And granted they are cousins but still. It's natural for that time period that the book is set.

I just finished Sex, Lies, and Online Dating by Rachel Gibson. Her books are so much fun and I can't wait to get to the rest of them in my TBR pile.

I've haven't read anything by McNaught but Whitney, My Love, which I hated with a passion. I probably should have started with a different book by her because I think the first impression I had of her writing scared me away permanently.

I personally consider The Mists of Avalon to be more romantic fantasy and I think the lack of happily ever afters would probably turn some people off (I know a lot of romantic fantasy fans who don't like when books don't have a HEA ending, even though they aren't technically romances, so it isn't necessary).
Spoiler:
I wanted Morgaine and Lancelet to be together so much and I was really disappointed with the way things turned out for them. Morgaine's life was so heartbreaking that the book left me depressed.

I know what you mean. I wanted the same thing. Morgaine really did get the short end of the stick. And I do have to agree that The Mists of Avalon does lack happily ever afters but that's what's kind of special about this book since it's basically a turn-around book.
Spoiler:
You think things are going great and then all of a sudden they take a turn for the worst. It catches you off guard
. I still have like the last 200 pages to read still. But I was impressed that I managed to read 123 pages in one day since I've never read that much before.

Rachel: Great! I'm going to begin reading that book sometimes this week. Hopefully. Have you read Once&Always?

Soz: Aw. That's too bad. What part made you hate her writing? Or was it the whole book in general?

Does anyone read Sharon Sala/Dinah McCall? (They are the same authors) I read most of her books under Sala because I think her writing is awesome and so romantic-y, but for some reason I like them but not too thrilled about 'em under McCall... is that weird?

Tina, I have read A Kingdom of Dreams a while ago. I can't remember much about it. LOL I like her contemporary stuff much better.

Soz, you've got me curious about Rachel Gibson. I'm going to see if my library carries any of her works.
