How weird, I'm reading another Avon True Romance book now- Samantha and the Cowboy by Lorraine Heath. I've also read Anna and the Duke and both books are cute.

I haven't read much contemporary romance except for a few paranormals set in the present day, but I read an excerpt from See Jane Score by Rachel Gibson and I had to get it because it's a hockey romance. My library actually had it, so I picked it up last week when I was working. I'll be starting it this weekend, once I finish Warprize.

I wouldn't recommend Warprize to romance fans, but if you like fantasy- and want more fantasy than romance, then it's a decent read. I have 100 pages left to read and there hasn't been a love scene yet.

I picked up and read Anyone But You by Jennifer Crusie from the library. It's a short book/fast read and I enjoyed it. I do like her characters.

I don't think I've read Summer Pleasures by Roberts. Is it one of her older books?

I have been looking for some of those Jennifer Cruise books. I will have to request them at my library.
I haven't read any Nora Roberts either, will have to soon.
Right now I am really into Elizabeth Lowell, I can't put her books down.

I really enjoyed Lowell's books with the Donovan family. Good stuff there.

I finished Warprize by Elizabeth Vaughan and I had some major issues with it, but it was an okay fantasy story. The last part of it got to be a bit of a romance cliche, but I wouldn't really call it a romance book. So anyone getting it thinking it's a paranormal romance would probably be disappointed. There's no supernatural beings or magic or anything like that and there's one rather tame love scene. I probably won't be reading the sequels.

I finished See Jane Score by Rachel Gibson. It was a fun, sexy, humorous, and it didn't have some of the romance cliches that have started to bug me. I will be reading more by Gibson.

I liked See Jane Score by Rachel Gibson so much that I requested it in a trade (I borrowed it from the library before) and I bought her other two hockey romances, The Trouble with Valentine's Day and Simply Irresistible, plus her book True Confessions and an anthology with a story by her.

I just finished "Perfect" By Judith McNaught. It was such a wonderful story, she is truly an amazing wirter. I am starting "Someone to watch over me" next, I cna't wait.
I don't remember who it was but someone brought up McNaught, and now I am very grateful. So thanks!
