Richelle did a chat on FB today where she answered some questions. Here's the ones that pertains to VA/Bloodlines:

Probably somewhere in the middle. You definitely know he's Russian, but he's been here long enough to be understood.

Is there hope for Abe and Janine? Are they even in Bloodlines?
Abe shows up a lot in Bloodlines.

You'll have to keep reading to find out his future with her! He's so fun to write.

Will the Keepers reappear in Bloodlines?
Not in the first book, but we'll see them in the series.

Out of all the characters to choose from for a spin off, why did you decide to do Sydney? Also, is there going to be any Dimitri in Bloodlines? I know you said Rose would make a cameo appearance, but I was just curious about Dimitri.
Dimitri eventually shows up in the series, but I can't see when or how!

I chose Sydney because I wanted to give us a different perspective on the VA world. Rose is inside of it, so we see it as "normal." Sydney's on the outside and most definitely doesn't think its normal. It helps us learn a lot more.

Who do you prefer? Demitri or Aiden for Rose? And why?
Have you read Last Sacrifice? That explains it.

what is the best thing about bloodlines?
Sydney's personality. She's sooooo smart and can memorize books but is oblivous to social things. She doesn't even realize when she's being asked out. It's pretty funny.

how did you get the idea of dimitri
Dimitri was created to be Rose's balance. She's so impulsive and needs someone who can teach her calm and reason. So, that's where his personality came from. He's Russian b/c the vampires have so many ties to Eastern Europe. Plus, the accent is hot.
