How are you guys?

I've been so busy, last weekend was my bestie's birthday, tomorrow is my dad's birthday...a lot of fun but so busy!

I was going to wait a few more months when I'll have enough money to pay off most of my 3 credit cards. But looking at my balances and what I have in my accounts now, I have enough to pay off 2 of them. Or 1 of them. Since 1 is half of the total debt. I think I'm going to pay off the one with the highest balance and I have enough to pay the one with the lowest balance. That's getting rid over 3/4 of my debt. Looking at one of these credit websites they have a stimilator thing that will estimate your new credit score on different factors and it's estimating mine to go way up. (I'll once again be in the mid 700s.)

This is why I don't get credit cards, they just get you in debt in the end. The only debt I have is my university one, which I don't have to worry yet.

I had a bad few years. But having little debt is good. Not having any debt or credit history can be more harmful.

That's very true If you don't have any credit, you can't get anything.

In my early mid 20's, I had a bad few years also, an old fiance' of my sisters got things under my name and I had to pay them off when they went to a debt collector.

My credit score right now is about a 670 which is in the fair. Looking at my bank car rate's for a loan my interest rate would be like 4.99%. The website is predicting if I go ahead and pay off about $4500ish of my debt my credit score will jump to 725ish which is very very good. And I can get an interest rate of like 2.24%. When buying a car or house, etc somehting you need a loan for it's all about the interest rate.

I've never had a credit card and never plan on getting one. I have overdraft in my bank account and figure that's enough.

I just always thought if I don't have the money to buy it, then I don't need it, it's a want...

I never had looked into those credit % before since It's never been something I had to be concerned of, but maybe it's best to focus one at a time instead all of them at once. Less pressure and stress you'll be putting on yourself.

Millie, me too. I just used my bank account. I don't have a lot of bills, just rent, then phone/internet I pay off, and then my mum and I split the cost of the electricity.

True. And that's how I'm trying to get. Although I do want to keep a credit card for emergencies.
