| There's been some discussion about her books in the Mystery Books thread. I think the only talk about Trace so far concerns eagerness to buy and/or read it. | |||

| I know I've read at least one book by her, but I can't think of what it is. I may have read more than one, I don't remember though. __________________ Family Ties Seasons 1-4 on dvd! ![]() Thanks so much to Vesta for the avatar! ![]() | |||

| I highly recommend all of her books, especially the Scarpetta ones. Although, I was VERY disappointed in Blow Fly . It wasn't a very interesting story line and Scarpetta was absent for almost the whole book, but it did answer some questions. I'm very eager to read Trace . I've got it on my hold list through the library and I'm next in line for it. ![]() | |||

| I agree that Blowfly was not her best book, but i was glad it answered questions. Actually to me some of those questions we got answered (mainly about Benton) i had never even thought of, so for me it was kinda out of left field. As for her new book Trace i bought it like the day after it came out cause i was waiting for it and i love her... personally i am not getting into this book for some reason, i dont know i hvae a feeling all the storylines are going to come together because they always do, but so far there is no connection and it is kinda weird. __________________ Liz | |||

| Is Trace written in first person or third? That was my main problem with Blow Fly--as a reader, I was suddenly denied access into her mind and thoughts, and the story seemed hard to understand without Scarpetta's interpretation. Also, with some of the events happening, I desperately wanted HER take on it, and didn't quite get it. I liked some aspects of the storyline, but it seemed like different characters in some respects. It left unanswered questions for me, I guess. But hopefully Trace will answer those. __________________ Will you stay with me, will you be my love, among the fields of barley...We'll forget the sun in his jealous sky as we lie in fields of gold | |||

| It is written in third person, which annoys me as well. So far questions have not been answered, or at least for me, they have just brought up new questions, especially what has happened in the time since the last book, i think in the novel it is like 5 years or so inbetween books. The relationship between benton and Kay has not been explained yet either in the new book which really annoys me. __________________ Liz | |||
