Ahh, thanks for that.. At least I think that she prob able to share w/ someone that she can trust and see how the edit for her book can be change by now than back then, but hopefully that she still stick w/ the ideas or plans she had for this sequel..

I'm gonna check it out. I feel like there is much hate on it due to the fact everyone is expecting a sequel, when its not exactly that, since it was a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird before TKAMB was changed into what it was published to be. So this would be a different story, but may have some of the same elements.

One of the reasons I want to read it because I see some hate on it
Not to mention I don't care for what others say/think anyway.

To me it still sounds more of a sequel since it's 20 years later and she comes back home.

Maybe the original was more of this and in going back home she relived what happened. I do want to read it. Although I do want to read TKAMB again since it's been so long.

All I remember is something about Boo who was the one guy that never left his house that everyone talked about and pretty much was scared of that the girl made friends with. And I think her dad was the sheriff and I think a black man was accuse of rape when he was innocent. This was during a time where blacks weren't treated equally and they were often accused of crimes they didn't commit and didn't get a fair trail.

Yeah, her father is sheriff.. And I remember the trial even, I can't remember what happen the end of the trail..

yes, I do remember the black man (what was his name? Boo?) accused of raping the girl. Wait, this is the story of the KKK, right? They then took the man and tried to have him killed?

The black man wasn't Boo. Boo was a recluse that hadn't left his house in like 20 years in something.

so apparently over the years the name Atticus has been real popular name for naming babies. With the new book apparently it's revealed that Atticus was a racist and people are freaking out and trying to change their baby's name.

I must be getting two movies mixed up, because I remember watching one movie in HS about KKK and it freaked me out
