Traveling is the one journal I've continued to maintain. For some reason, writing about where I've been and seen on the road is easier and fun to write.

I do that, but I meant a regular journal. I read about it in a book once and decided to take a class. You can make collages on some of the pages, paste down affirmations, and doodle. It's a regular journal, but it's more illustrated and slightly interactive. You can even write down answers to questions in magazine articles like O, Cosmo,etc...

I'm more into things like Simple Abundance and liked the Secret before I realized that it was crap, so I'd paste in something to remind me of my goal for the day, week, month or whatever, photos that reminded me of good times,etc...

It just adds some spice and depth to a regular written journal. I haven't added anything to mine in awhile, but I did take some magazine ads to decorate it because they were so cute.

THis sounds more like my planner. I use stickers, color markers and a sentence or two commentary about the day or the event. It's not a traditional journal in paragraph form, but I look back on it fondly.

Yeah,it's a hybrid of a scrapbook and a journal. If you like vision boards, visualization and things like that, it's a good idea. I may take pictures and post them as an example if anyone's interested.

Looks good!

I try to journal but I feel like I never know what to write or how to do it "properly".

I don't believe there should be a "proper" way. All a journal is your thoughts or feelings on a particular day.

Some write prose in paragraph form others just dot down a sentence or two. Write as long or as short as needed to convey what happened to you on any given day. Don't worry about the form.

It should be easy and fun.

I used to do paragraph form everyday, but then it got tiring and it ended up being a sentence or two after a few months. I buy an actual journal book though, which basically looks like a fancy blank notebook where you just fill in whatever day you like when you like. That way I don't feel forced to do it everyday

I used to do a journal when I was travelling when I was a bit younger.

I keep wanting to start again.

But there's really nothing for me to write about. Although I do have frustrations with life and stuff. That's depressing.

I do like to re read the two I still have from my younger years.
