I fell in love with these two mostly in the last 2 books, but they were the highlight in City of Lost Souls.

The last two books were definitely so great for them. CoLS especially was just amazing in terms of Simon/Isabelle. I loved it.

I personally like the first 3 books in terms of stories as a whole, but definitely Simon was my favorite part of CoFA and CoLS. Favorite character. Then add his moments with Isabelle and that just made the read even better.

I think Simon's the most quotable character in the series.

I agree. The first 3 were the best as a whole, story wise.. but I love all the character development for Simon and for their relationship in the latest books.
