The eyes are a bit tricky, yes I wonder if they will ever have souls live peacefully like Wanda among the humans someday. Because after all, besides being an alien, she has proved humans that she can live together with them without having prejudices, and there must be someone else that thinks it like her and doesn't want to control the whole human race like most of the aliens. I think if humans who are now possessed by their hosts would react like Melanie and keep living despite the intruder, both humans and aliens could live on Earth. I'm sure Ian won't be the only human falling for an alien soul if there are other souls like Wanda

I do think there are others, like Burns at the end of the novel.

Not yet, although Italy has released it on the 28th like USA... I might be going next week if I can. I wondered how did it go?

Oh, it was awesome. I felt they stuck to the book so much. Of course you couldn't fit in everything given it's a 600 page book.
But I was happy with the result.

Someone told me they read bad reviews... and it's weird, because I've seen the various trailers and from those I thought they stuck closely to the book. I wish I could watch it right now

Oh, there will always be haters...but I felt it was a almost perfect adaption.

I wish there was some certain W/I scenes in it, but I was happy with what we got.

I think some people might be biased because Stephanie Meyer wrote the book. I don't think she is a bad writer. Sure, she may have flaws in her writing but I think that there isn't a person in the world that can be considered the perfect writer, you either like or dislike the story they tell and how they tell it. The haters should read before judge the work. I believe The Host in general is a good story with nice and deep characters. It had potential and I'm glad they made a movie out of it.

Yes! and if they hated Twilight, they are judging this and her for this.. which is totally unfair.

It's not right. It's a completely different genre but they won't know that unless they read the book or at least google it.

Yes, definitely different from Twilight. The only thing I found a bit close to TW, were the dynamics of the triangle/quadrangle and the personalities of the main characters involved in love stories (then Ian/Wanda and Jared/Mel). But besides little resemblances, the argument is not the same - we're talking about aliens here, not vampires

Doesn't look like the movie is doing so well. And one thing that's bugging me is the media referring to it as "Young Adult" when it is not. There are no teenagers in the movie / book.

I heard it bombed at the Box Office That really sucks. I'm hoping that this won't stop Stephenie from writing the next two books and then turn them into movies. I need that
