Gossip Girl Thread #1

We used to have a thread but I can't find it so here's a new one!

For those who don't know, Gossip Girl is like a teen version of Sex in the City. Literature wise, not that great, but it's a guilty pleasure so it's all good

Have people read "Because I'm Worth It?" It's awesome! I loved it as much as the first two. IMO, the third one wasn't as juicy. The fourth one is very, very juicy and I won't spoil it too much for people who haven't read it, but there are many turns

I finished Because I'm Worth It last night and loved it. Very...interesting.

I think it would be really hilarious if Gossip Girl was that one person(won't mention who). It would definitely be a highlight of everything I've read.

Indeed! I hope it is...

I wonder what happens when they go to university because they're (well, most of them) seniors and I don't want the whole series to be based on the freshmen. We still have about two more books left, if you think about it.

Anybody read the A List? They were advertising it on the back of the cover. It seems kind of spooky

I love these books! Granted, I just started, and I've only read the first and third books, but still. I actually liked the third book better, but maybe that was because people got along better (namely Serena and Blair - I hated them fighting!)

I wouldn't mind finding out who GG is, but... that might ruin the whole series! Well, I have a hold on books 2 and 4, so I'm waiting!

These books are such guilty pleasures; I feel almost ashamed while reading them, but there's no way I can put one down once I've started it. Has a fifth book been confirmed?

Oh man I sooo want to read these novels...but I'm almost 22 and would feel a little silly. I've been hearing so much about them and they sound like they'd be my type of book...but am I too old to be reading this stuff?

Of course not They're guilty pleasures, remember? So they're just more guilty for you

News:

Lindsay Lohan is Warner Bros.' Gossip Girl

Warner Bros. will adapt the best-selling novel series Gossip Girl, which will feature Freaky Friday star Lindsay Lohan in the title role. Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is writing the script.

The Cecily von Ziegesar novel is about a rivalry among a group of ultra-rich girls on Manhattan's Upper East Side. The protagonist is Blair Waldorf, a beauty who is the envy of her friends. Unfortunately, her perfect world unravels as her bitter rival gets kicked out of boarding school and returns to Blair's private school. Lohan will play Waldorf.

Lohan can next be seen in Disney's romantic comedy Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen on February 20.

The next is confirmed, titled "I Like It Like That" for MAy. Lindsey wouldn't be a good Blair!

Wow I'm excited for this movie. Although I can't stand Lindsey Lohan.

I've only read the first 2 books, but hopefully will get the other two this weekend. After I finished the first 2, my friends passed them around and everyone loved them.
