| Favourite Plays What's everyone's favourite plays? I love The Glass Menagerie. I've seen it performed several times and it hits a chord with me every time. I also like A Streetcar Named Desire, because I think Tennessee Williams is a genius!!! One other favourite would be An Inspector Calls because it's so clever and Lost in a Mirror by Lope De Vega, which is amazing! __________________ "Honest to God, he's as cool as you like!" - Brian about Danny T's now legendary one-pointer. | |||

| You mean to read? I generally hate reading plays, but the two I enjoy reading are Macbeth and King Lear. As for watching plays, it depends on the production more than the text for me. The best ones I've seen were: "Coriolanus" starring Charles Dance, "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Barbicon, "Don Juan" by Bertolt Brecht, "M. Butterfly" (somewhere in London in 1990, don't rememebr where), and "Scenes from an Execution" starring Glenda Jackson. Oh, and I always like "Les liaisons Dangereuses," even a bad production. I'm a total sucker for that play. And the book, and the all movies. __________________ "When the wolves come out of the walls, it's all over." "What's all over?" "It." | |||

| Anything by Noel Coward, especially Still Life I like to read plays when I've seen them so I can imagine them being performed. | |||

I love Shakespeare too, so Romeo and Juliet and The Taming of the Shrew are favourites as well __________________ "Honest to God, he's as cool as you like!" - Brian about Danny T's now legendary one-pointer. | |||

| This is so nerdy, but once I was watching Hamlet and I was reading along at the same time, it was really fun | |||

| I love Shakespeare ... "A Midsummer Night's Dream" was the very first play I ever read. I also loved "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Tempest." I really enjoyed "Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You" (gotta love a nun with a gun) and "Proof," too. But my favorite play is, hands-down, "The Laramie Project." <-- | |||

| Here's some of my faves Othello and Measure for Measure - Shakespeare Separation - Tom Kempinski Glengarry Glen Ross and Oleanna - David Mamet Amongst Barbarians - Michael Wall The Changeling - Middleton & Rowley Uncle Vanya - Anton Chekhov As you can see - mostly drama rather than comedy. I love a good play - last one I saw on the stage was What the Night is For starring Gillian Anderson. __________________ I can ride you at a gallop till your legs buckle and your eyes roll up. | Oh good, I'm not alone The only annoying thing I found was that Olivier was taking a bit of poetic license with Hamlet. He skipped around a fair bit | |||
