Wow, Gone with the wind is my all time favourite movie but when I tried to read the book, I got halfway and couldn't finish. I think I'll reread it in the future though .

Anyways, my favourite book has to be Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. Just absolutely stunning in its portrayal of love but also the raw and dark aspects of human behaviour.

I have two favorite books ~ The Thorn Birds and Green Rider. Its really hard for me to decide on the two of those books. They have been such a pleasure to read and it takes me to a different world...

Gone with the Wind is my favourite movie as well! Its got everything you could ever want in a movie all wrapped into one neat package

Ive heard that the book is quite different to the movie though ie Scarlett really has kids to each of her husbands not just Rhett, is this true?
What do most people think of the book?

Hi, I'm new. Nice to meet you all!

I'm an avid bookworm, and as such, it's really hard for me to choose just one book... I'll have to name a few: "Pride and Prejudice" (I read it every few months and never get tired!), "Doomsday Book" (stunning book, you can't put it down once you start reading) and everything Terry Pratchett ever wrote (is that cheating?).

ETA: I can't believe I forgot the "Crystal Singer" trilogy! Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Much better than the "Pern" books. The three of them together are more than a thousand pages, and I reread them every half a year... and fall in love again each time.

"The Cider House Rules" John Irving (I love it since the phrase)
"Mystic River" Dennis Lehan (I don't know why, I just love it)
