Thanks for starting.

So far I think I've only read Cinder and I just started on Scarlet.

Although I've seen the movie of Ella Enchanted. I'm surprise I haven't read more since I usually love the retelling movies.

The book of Ella Enchanted is more serious than the movie, but the movie is so cute. I have several I haven't read on my bookshelf.

ETA - Speaking of Cinder, did you know that a unrelated (suppose to be) standalone book that is a sort of fairy tale/storybook reframing is coming out next year by the same author?

Seems like she loves writing fairy tales re tellings.

I believe Gena Showalter has one about Alice. Or something with Alice and zombies, which I would think would be similiar to a re telling.

Can I be added to the list?

Favorite book in the Genre so far: Of Beast and Beauty.

Fairy Tale re-tellings are my favorite Genre atm. I've read 3 Beauty and the Beast re-tellings so far.

1) A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
2) Of Beast and Beauty by Stacey Jay
3) Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge.

Of Beast and Beauty is my favorite because the characters and love story captured me. Plus the unique twist on the tale is .

and have 2 more to read form my Book Haul I just bought: The Merchant's Daughter and Entreat Me. Not sure which I will read first tho leaning towards TMD.

Will probably buy more Batb ones in the future as there is a ton. But got to read Cinder and Queen of shadows first.

Mine too. I highly recommend them, especially Of Beast and Beauty and A Court of Thorns and Roses. Cruel Beauty is good but I didn't love it as much as the other 2.

I loved a Court of Thorns and Roses.

Also, the Lunar Chronicles.

Oh yes, Gena Showalter's version of Alice in Wonderland with a twist.

I love fairy tale retellings, especially Robin McKinley and Patricia A. McKillip's books.
