EVERYWHERE! University, shopping, out for a walk, concerts, family gatherings... you never know when you need it. I even carry my books around the apartment.

I got the two newest books in Kim Harrison's The Hollows series..one if paperback, and the other one is hardcover...and I've been carrying them both around everywhere. When I finish the one, I want to make sure that I have the next part to start right away. My friends think I'm crazy lol

I went camping this weekend with my dad and am very glad I applied the carrying a book everywhere police to backpacking as well because I got the chance to read quite a bit after we pitched camp for the night and then before I went to bed.

BOOKS, BOOKS and more BOOKS...

Funny story - people think my wife has a handbag fetish - she "NEEDS" a new bag every so often... not true, handbags break because she has a BOOK FETISH and carries them around with her wherever she goes. She probably has around 5 books with her at any given time.
I always have a book (at least one) with me... never know when you'll need it!!

Books are my drug...

Oh wow, I've never carried five, except for school books that is. But I almost always carry at least one. It just makes waiting a lot easier if I am forced to do it anywhere.

Taking a book everywhere is protection from boredom and stupid people.
ditto. ...and standing in long rows anywhere breeds rage - no longer road-rage - now queue-rage. LOL.
Wherever there are regularly long queues they should post banners "Curb Queue-rage - Read a Book"...

I do carry a book everywhere. Usually one is enough. At most 2. Even if I don't have any intention reading it I still carry a book "just in case." I remember one time I went to a wedding and all I did was read (I know I know it's inappropriate and rude but books are more interesting!)

Absolutely! Everywhere i go i take a book, sometimes more than one, because i never know what mood i'll be in, so it's usually one or two. That's why i always have big hand bags. Everyone says i'm crazy, but i really don't care, i HAVE to take my books with me. I'm usually quite busy so i know that i probably won't have the time to read any of the books, but still, i feel good just by knowing that i have them.

Same! You never know if you might finish the one you're reading, right? I always have a book on hand.

Unfortunately, I am one of those types of nerds lol. I also have to buy kind of large purses so I can carry some kind of paperback book with me.

I love that quote Zarek! I always read a book in the staff room of my work, there's not much interesting conversation there.

But yeah, I always have some sort of book on me. I can usually find a spare 5 minutes somewhere.

Unfortunately I do
I always carry a book with me... you never know when you might need it... and I usually take the bus or train when I go somewhere so I need something to kill the time... and what's better than a book.

And I love the way people look at me when I'm sitting in the bus/train, reading a book... because adults think it's so uncommon for young people to read nowadays... they just stit around, listening to their ipods really loud... and when you sit in between, with a book in your hands and totally blocking out everything around you... I just love the way people look at you
