I love the fact that Claire up all the comforts of 20th century life to go back in time and even then there was the chance that she would die during the effort. Claire and Jamie are definitely a love across time (as corny as that sounds, it's true).

Oh, Laoghaire. She was a real trial, although I was also upset with Jenny during Voyager.

Really? I can't remember how Jenny was in that book. Refresh my memory please?

My wee break lasted a month but no more breaks, got 4 more books plus the Lord John books. Already read the first 2 of those, but will re-read them and read the 3rd. Think I already read a few of the stories in that one

just found this thread and wanted to chat......read the books quite a few years ago, and then noticed a new one had come out. tried reading ANITB and was totally lost regarding the plot, so i started the series over again

i really enjoyed going back and reliving jamie & claire's love story (i have numerous dog-eared passages in all 6 previous novels the first 2 books are definitely my fav, but i also loved the 3rd when she goes back to him my only complaint was not enough jamie/claire!

has anyone else finished ANEINTB? do we need spoilers?

Spoiler:

well i'll shut up for now in case anyone else wants to chat about it

p.s.

Only up to 267 in the 4th book only been reading during the weekend which is a pain cause I would be onto the 5th by now. However, been doing workshops related to job searching for the past 3 weeks. So been too tired during the week to do anything

Last year I started rereading them all in English (I'd only read the German versions before) but I think I'm stuck in the middle of the 5th lol

Every time I see An Echo in the Bone, though, it's as if it's calling out to me that I'm supposed to buy it *___*

Now I'm starting university though & I don't have time to finish the 5th and reread the 6th, so I guess the new one has to wait. Is it good, though? And worth reading? xD I kinda disliked it when the story became more and more about Bree and everyone else in the 4th & 5th, but I guess I just have to read the last one (sooner or later) xD

lol I believed the 6th book was gonna be the last, too... but I guess with a popular book series the authors would be stupid to have an ending written in stone. Of course they want to keep their options open.

How did you like the 7th?

Overall, I enjoyed it but the story diverges more from Jamie & Claire. Also, the ending leaves unresolved storylines. I was thinking that this book was going to tie everything up, but it didn't. I guess another book isn't a bad thing, but it's nice to have closure too.
